With ART now behind us, the focus shifts. ✨
Next up: Much Ado About Nothing.
Over the coming months we’ll be revealing all the details including the cast, performance dates and when you can get tickets.
For now though, here’s your first glimpse at what’s in store!
🎭 Sheepdog returns to Shakespeare and for the first time, we’re doing a comedy.
Much Ado About Nothing has everything you want in a night of theatre; romance, deception, dancing and humour.
But what makes Much Ado so unique is its darker descent into misogyny and slander.
What starts out as a light-hearted jaunt into the trappings of marriage becomes a damning examination of a patriarchal society prioritising reputation over truth.
Our production keeps its original setting in the Italian town of Messina. Despite the exotic location, this is a place where status and perception carry real weight, and where a single accusation is enough to destroy someone.
Much Ado is so compelling because what begins as a comedy gives way to something sharper, a story about public accusation and its consequences that is still relevant today.
