KOTARO NUKAGA（六本木）では、2026年6月6日（土）から7月18日（土）まで、地村洋平 による個展「それはまた、次の名前の前にいる」を開催します。本展では、ガラスの内部に錫を封じ込めた作品のシリーズ「始まりの実験」に加え、ギャラリーの空間全体を透明なビニールで覆い尽くすインスタレーション作品を発表。溶融と冷却、変容と定着——素材同士の出会いと反応のプロセスそのものを可視化する試みが、展示空間全体に展開されます。

Alongside the sculptural series “The Experiment on the Origin,” in which tin is sealed within the body of glass, the exhibition presents an installation that envelops the entire gallery space in a skin of transparent vinyl. Melting and cooling, transformation and setting: the very process by which one material meets and responds to another unfolds across the whole of the exhibition space.

KOTARO NUKAGA（六本木）では、2026年6月6日（土）から7月18日（土）まで、地村洋平による個展「それはまた、次の名前の前にいる」を開催します。本展では、ガラスの内部に錫を封じ込めた作品のシリーズ「始まりの実験」に加え、ギャラリーの空間全体を透明なビニールで覆い尽くすインスタレーション作品を発表。溶融と冷却、変容と定着——素材同士の出会いと反応のプロセスそのものを可視化する試みが、展示空間全体に展開されます。

1984年千葉県生まれの地村は、富山ガラス造形研究所を経て東京藝術大学大学院博士後期課程を修了。伝統的な金属鋳造とガラス造形の双方を学び、物質が変容する瞬間に着目した制作を続けてきました。金沢21世紀美術館、富山市ガラス美術館などで作品を発表し、2025年より東京藝術大学美術学部ガラス造形研究室准教授を務めています。工芸的な技術の精緻さを基盤としながらも素材の物質性そのものと向き合う実践は、本展においてひとつの結節点を迎えます。

KOTARO NUKAGA Roppongi is pleased to present Yohei Chimura’s solo exhibition ‘They stand, once more, before the next name,’ on view from Jun 6 to Jul 18, 2026. Alongside the sculptural series “The Experiment on the Origin,” in which tin is sealed within the body of glass, the exhibition presents an installation that envelops the entire gallery space in a skin of transparent vinyl. Melting and cooling, transformation and setting: the very process by which one material meets and responds to another unfolds across the whole of the exhibition space.

Born in Chiba in 1984, Chimura studied at the Toyama Institute of Glass Art and received his PhD from the Tokyo University of the Arts. Working across traditional metal casting and glass making, he has centered his practice on the instant in which matter undergoes transformation. His works have been shown at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, and the Toyama Glass Art Museum, among others, and since 2025 he has served as Associate Professor of the Glass Art Research Laboratory at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Grounded in the precision of craft yet continually facing the sheer physicality of matter itself and in this exhibition his practice finds a point of convergence.

KOTARO NUKAGA is pleased to announce its participation in Art Basel in Basel 2026, taking place from June 18 to 21, 2026.

For this first appearance at the fair, the presentation offers a comprehensive survey of Saori Akutagawa（1924 – 1966）, tracing the development of her pictorial language across a career of little more than fifteen years. The selection ranges from rare early oil paintings and signature batik works to preparatory studies and drawings, culminating in oil paintings from the 1960s made following her move to the United States, where her practice increasingly turned toward abstraction.

アマドゥールは、2026年5月18日（月）から6月18日（木）にかけて、アメリカ・ネバダのTruckee Meadows Community Collegeにて個展「Nevada Proscenium」を開催します。

展示作品は、ネバダ州の鉱業史から着想を得ており、地下での労働を支えつつも、労働者自身の姿を覆い隠していた坑木に焦点を当てます。アマドゥールの作品は、「西部」が未開拓で手つかずの地であるという通念に疑問を投げかけ、代わりにネバダ州を、生態学的、政治的、文化的な歴史が複雑に交錯する場所として提示します。ラテンアメリカ系住民のアイデンティティと存在感は作品全体に織り込まれており、この州の形成に貢献してきたにもかかわらず、主流の歴史的叙述からはしばしば排除されてきたコミュニティを映し出しています。

これらの作品は、風景がどのように構築されているのか――物理的な側面だけでなく、社会的・歴史的な側面も含めて――について再考を促します。ネバダ州北部をルーツとし、個人的な歴史と集団的な歴史の両方を探る本展では、最終的にその場所がどのように記憶され、体験され、可視化されるのか、そして視界のすぐ先には何が残されているのかを考察します。

Amadour's solo exhibition ‘Nevada Proscenium’ will be held at Truckee Meadows Community College in Nevada, USA from May 18 – June 18, 2026.

The work draws inspiration from Nevada’s mining history, referencing the timbered frameworks that supported underground labor while obscuring the workers themselves. Rather than embracing familiar frontier narratives, Amadour’s work challenges the idea of the West as vacant or untouched. Instead, the exhibition presents Nevada as a place marked by overlapping ecological, political and cultural histories, many of which remain overlooked in mainstream representations of the region. Latinx identity and presence are woven throughout the work, reflecting communities that have long contributed to shaping the state while often remaining absent from dominant historical narratives.

The pieces invite viewers into quiet reflection, asking them to reconsider how landscapes are constructed—not only physically, but socially and historically. Rooted in Northern Nevada and informed by both personal and collective histories, Nevada Proscenium ultimately examines how place is remembered, experienced and made visible, and what remains just beyond view.

また、明日5月23日（土）14:00からギャラリーツアー 、15:00からサイン会を開催します。作家本人による天王洲・Three 両会場の作品解説および、4月末に発売された飯川の水戸芸術館現代アートギャラリーでの個展『大事なことは何かを見つけたとき』図録のサイン会を開催。ご参加の方には限定ノベルティも配布予定です。

飯川雄大は、他者と共有できない体験や衝動を伝えようとするときの戸惑いや思考のプロセスに着目し、鑑賞者が自身のタイミングで「何かに気づく瞬間」を重要視しています。公共空間や展示の仕組みに目を向け、観客の身体感覚や想像力、場の偶発性によって変容していく作品群は国内外で高く評価されています。

Takehiro Iikawa ‘Decorator Crab: The Heavy Bag’ currently being held at KOTARO NUKAGA Tennoz will be extended until May 30, 2026.

By incorporating unpredictable events and experiences, he consistently aims to stimulate the thoughts and actions of the viewers. His works shift with each site and with the viewer’s bodily perception and imagination, and have been widely acclaimed in Japan and internationally.

Marking Iikawa’s first solo exhibition at KOTARO NUKAGA, the show will be presented across two venues: Tennoz and Three. At Tennoz, visitors will encounter a large-scale installation that, through audience engagement, gives rise to an unexpected “landscape.” At Three, the exhibition will present works on paper and paintings.

スプツニ子！の作品《Tech Bro Debates Humanity（テック・ブロたちの人類論争）》が、2026年6月26日（金）から6月28日（日）にかけてTAKANAWA GATEWAY CITYで開催される「NU Festival 2026」で展示されます。

「NU Festival」は、音楽／アート／テクノロジーが交わり、都市全体を舞台に新しい表現と体験を生み出すフェスティバルです。さまざまなクリエイターが出会い、これまでにないアイデアや表現が“生まれる瞬間”を体験として届け、アジアを代表するカルチャーの発信拠点を目指します。

その一環として開催される「NU Art」はMoN Takanawa 。「Sónar+D」とのコラボレーションのもとアーティスト／AI研究者の徳井直生がキュレーターを務め、AIによる「生成」や「自動化」に対するオルタナティブな視点から、現代社会におけるAI観とは異なるアプローチを提示します。

出品作《Tech Bro たちの⼈類論争》は、モニターに映し出された男性二人が「労働」や「民主主義」といった、現代の価値基準やこれからの社会のあり方に関する議論を展開します。

Sputniko!’s artwork "Tech Bro Debates Humanity" will be exhibited in ‘NU Festival 2026’ at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY from June 26 – June 28, 2026.

‘NU Festival 2026’ is a festival platform that uses music, art, and science as its starting point to create new experiences using the city itself as its stage.

‘NU Art’ one of the programs will be held in MoN Takanawa . In collaboration with Barcelona-based Sónar+D, and curated by Naoki Tokui, the program will feature an exhibition, talks, and special performances. With the theme “Beyond / Alternative GenAI,” it will shed light on both the possibilities of generative AI and the challenges that lie behind it, re-examining the future of human creativity.

In "Tech Bro Debates Humanity", two men appear on monitors, debating pressing issues such as “labor” and “democracy”—fundamental values of contemporary society and visions for its future.

この度、上田暁子、石塚元太良、森本啓太によるグループ展「Worlding − No Oars, No Shore,」がポーラ ミュージアム アネックスで2026年6月12日（金）から7月5日（日）まで開催されます。

本展は、上田暁子、石塚元太良、森本啓太によって、「世界はどのように立ち現れるのか」を出発点に、それぞれ異なる手法で向き合った展覧会です。上田は色彩や形態の変化を通して、像が現れかけては崩れていく過程や、出来事が生まれる瞬間を描き出し、石塚は写真表現を基点に、光や素材の扱いを拡張しながら、時間や空間が重なり合う感覚を提示します。森本は古典絵画を参照しつつ、都市の日常的な風景を描き、「光」を手がかりに現代の現実と歴史的な奥行きを重ね合わせ、見ることや認識のあり方を問いかけます。

Worlding － No Oars, No Shore,

一本の紐が揺れている。

波が生まれ、おりたたまれ、無数の襞になる。折り目のたびに世界が現れる。
ある世界では色と色がぶつかり、形になろうとしては、ほどける。ある世界では見慣れた街が人工の光に照らされ、ひとつの場所に複数の夜が折り重なっている。またある世界では闇に白いものが浮かび、水面がそれを映し返している。見る者がいてもいなくても、それはそこにある。

三つの世界は繋がっていない。けれども同じ一本の紐から生まれた。矛盾したまま同じ空間に在るとき、そのあいだに世界が生まれる。そういう生まれ方しか、世界にはない。

オールもなく、岸もない。

ただ、波だけがある。

‘Worlding － No Oars, No Shore,’

A single thread, trembling.

Waves rise, fold, become countless folds. At each crease, a world.

In one world, colors strike colors, reaching toward form, only to become undone again. In one world, a familiar city under artificial light. Multiple nights folded into one place. In yet another, something white drifts in the dark, the water returning its image. Seen or unseen, they are there.

The three worlds are not connected. Yet they come from the same thread. When they exist in one space, still contradicting, a world is born between them. A world is born no other way.

No oars, no shore,

Only waves.
