COHJUでは、Royal College of Art出身のDaniel RoibalとJordan Rubioによる二人展「Iron Fairies」を開催します。

ロイバルの自由で鮮やかな抽象絵画と、ルビオの感情や記憶を映し出す人物画。

異なるスタイルを持つ二人の作品が交差しながら、親密さや不安定さ、言葉にならない感覚が、それぞれのペインティングを介して立ち上がります。

現在ヨーロッパを拠点に活動する両作家は、同世代の若手ペインターの中でも注目を集める存在です。

6月13日（土）17時より、作家たちを囲んでのささやかなオープニングを開催いたします。貴重なこの機会にぜひお立ち寄りください。

COHJU is pleased to present “Iron Fairies,” a two-person exhibition by Royal College of Art graduates Daniel Roibal and Jordan Rubio.

Bringing together Roibal’s vivid abstractions and Rubio’s emotionally charged figurative paintings, the exhibition explores memory, fragility, intimacy, and contemporary painting through two distinct visual languages.

Both artists are part of a new generation of young painters emerging from Europe’s contemporary art scene.

ロイバルの自由で鮮やかな抽象絵画と、ルビオの感情や記憶を映し出す人物画。

現在ヨーロッパを拠点に活動する両作家は、同世代の若手ペインターの中でも注目を集める存在です。香港での滞在制作を含む新作をこの機会にぜひご高覧いただけますと幸いです。

Installation views from the ongoing solo exhibition at COHJU, Kyoto.

Shengzhe’s works move between bodily presence and psychological distance, unfolding through cinematic compositions, saturated colours, and suspended gestures. The exhibition drifts through states of memory, migration, and emotional dislocation.

On view in Kyoto until 18 May 2026.
