かねてよりお願いしていた、赤絵の杯。

絵付師歴およそ55年の池田さんの器には

杯の形は2種類。
同じ赤絵でも、描かれた景色や表情は
ひとつひとつ異なり
どれも個性豊かで

The red-painted sake cups we had been looking forward to have finally arrived.
Created by a ceramic painter with 55 years of experience, they come in two different shapes.
Each one features a unique design, with its own scenery and character. Every piece is one of a kind, each with its own distinctive charm.
As the first signs of autumn begin to arrive,

The latest works from Rokusho have arrived, showcasing the remarkable beauty of their layered glazes.

Created by Hiroaki Kiyomizu, the eldest son of Rokubei Kiln, Rokusho is a tableware brand built around the concept of "art pieces for everyday life." in Kyoto.
To achieve the ideal color, he spends years developing and refining his glazes. Multiple layers are then carefully applied, creating rich depth and subtle variations that make every piece one of a kind.
Beautiful on its own, each vessel also serves as an elegant frame that enhances the presentation of food.
We invite you to discover the unique character and landscape of every piece.
Alongside Rokusho's signature tableware, this arrival also includes sake flasks (tokkuri) and a variety of sake cups (guinomi).

The new green is not a vivid or striking shade, but a natural tone that recalls the greens found in the fields.
The motif is botan karakusa—peonies with flowing vines.
Peonies symbolize prosperity, while the endlessly scrolling vines represent continuity and flourishing.

京焼の伝統をくみ取りつつ、
和洋を問わず現代の器とも調和する一碗。
抹茶も、日々の食事も。形式にとらわれず、自由に楽しめる器です。

This original katakuchi matcha bowl is inspired by the classic Tenmoku form,
featuring a softly flowing silhouette that feels both quiet and timeless.
The exterior is left unglazed, preserving the raw texture of the clay.
Inside, it is finished in a deep, softly lustrous black—
a glaze associated with Nonomura Ninsei, a 17th-century master who helped establish the foundations of Kyoto ware.
Traditionally used to enhance decoration, this black beautifully accentuates the vivid green of matcha.
Rooted in the aesthetic sensibilities of early Kyoto ceramics,
the form is reinterpreted for contemporary life.
It is a vessel to be enjoyed without strict rules—
suitable for preparing matcha, as well as for everyday food and drinks—
bridging the spirit of old Kyoto with the rhythm of modern living.

(approx. 5.7 in × 3.1 in)
Capacity is suitable for preparing about five servings of matcha.
