日本伝統文化体験処「遭遇」sogooは、伝統芸能・武道を超えた幅広い文化体験の窓口に飛躍します。
日本舞踊、邦楽、能楽、日本刀に関わる武道から始まった「遭遇」sogooですが、より幅広い間口と深い奥行きを持つ文化体験の入り口に変化しようとしています。
空間的にも、中京区の「遭遇」sogooスタジオを超えて、京都の様々な場所での文化体験が始まろうとしています。
これは、観光客にユニークベニューでの比類ない体験を提供することだけを意味するのではありません。「伝統の力」を活用した企業での研修、各種学校における特別授業、住民の学び直しでもあります。
文化に携わる方々にとっては、若いうちに人前で修練する機会の獲得、老いてなおお客様に「ありがとう」と言ってもらえる生き甲斐の創出でもあります。
開業後に３ヶ月足らずで「遭遇」における様々な出会いにより、「遭遇」の存在価値がどんどん大きくなっております。皆様、乞うご期待ください。
"Sogoo," a center for experiencing traditional Japanese culture, is evolving into a gateway for a wide range of cultural experiences that extend beyond traditional performing arts and martial arts.
While Sogoo began with Japanese dance, traditional music, Noh theater, and martial arts involving the Japanese sword, it is now transforming into a portal offering cultural experiences with both broader accessibility and greater depth.
In terms of location, too, activities are expanding beyond the Sogoo studio in Nakagyo Ward to encompass various sites across Kyoto.
This initiative goes beyond simply offering tourists unparalleled experiences in unique venues; it also encompasses corporate training that harnesses the "power of tradition," special classes at schools, and opportunities for local residents to engage in lifelong learning.
For those involved in the arts, it creates opportunities to perform and hone their skills before an audience while young, and fosters a sense of purpose in later years by allowing them to hear a heartfelt "thank you" from those they entertain.
In the less than three months since opening, the various encounters facilitated by Sogoo have rapidly enhanced its value and significance. We look forward to what the future holds.
