Artwork 21: Koenigsegg CC Concept 2000

Koenigsegg was founded in Ängelholm of Swedish southernmost Skåne County in 1994 by 22 years old Christian von Koenigsegg who had become a millionaire importing US frozen chickens into Estonia and decided to indulge a childhood fantasy for supercars. He contacted a Swedish car designer Sven-Harry Åkesson in 1995 and saw his road racer called Sethera Falcon of what development had stagnated. Christian funded to let him complete Falcon featuring the unique dihedral actuation doors (raptor doors) with Audi 4.2 litre V8 engine. The completed car and design was taken over by Koenigsegg and renamed CC as the first prototype of the brand in 1996. With minor modifications by Koenigsegg design consultant David Crafoord, CC Concept was introduced at 2000 Paris Motor Show. Its successor CC8S was the first production model with 655ps Ford 4.7 litre V8 engine made of cast aluminium that was premiered at 2002 Geneva Motor Show.

Artwork 20: Pagani Zonda C12S 2000-2002

Pagani was founded in 1992 at San Cesario sul Panaro near Modena in Italy by Horacio Pagani, the Italian rooted Argentinian. He had designed and built his first F3 racing car at 20 years old and moved to Italy in 1983 with a letter of Argentinian Juan Manuel Fangio who was 5 times F1 World Champion. Horacio worked for Lamborghini and built Countach Evoluzione with carbon composites. Recognizing the necessity of industrial autoclave, he bought one by himself and established Modena Design to make carbon fiber composites for F1 cars in 1991 prior to Pagani's foundation. Taking 7 years to develop, Pagani presented its first road car Zonda C12 in 1999. Mercedes-Benz's AMG V12 engine was mid-mounted by Juan Fangio's advice, who died in 1995. Zonda was named after foehn wind of the Andes in Argentina. C stands for the initial of his wife and 12 for his 12th midship project. Racing version Zonda R recorded the fastest lap time of 6:47.50 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2010.

Artwork 19 : Porsche GT1 Evolution 1997 Roadcar

According to the drastic change of FIA's GT race regulation in 1995, Porsche was forced to develop new GT1 class machines to compete against Le Mans winner McLaren F1. Rushing the development, Porsche effectively used the existing 911 parts and the mid-engined first 911 GT1 was built in 1996. For the season of 1997 GT1 was modified to GT1 Evo (Evolution) with Boxster type head lights. In 1998 finally Porsche won the Le Mans by all new GT1-98. In the next year GT1 class was cancelled. The model car is the street version of GT1 Evo in 1997 that was stipulated in the GT1 regulation to produce. This pure road version is only released from Tron in Italy as of May 2015.
