北九州市在住のアーティスト。現代社会や民族・宗教間の争い、過去の歴史などを問い直す活動を展開しています。スケートボーダーでもあり、ストリートの思想から生まれる実験的なプロジェクト「STEALTH」を展開中です。このシリーズでは、軍事技術でレーダー波を吸収するために使われるフェライト粉末を素材として用いており、その「姿を隠す」機能を参照しながら、ストリートにおける匿名性の感覚に結びつけて表現を探求していいます。
ストリートでのゲリラ的な展開と並行して展覧会では、戦争、原爆、戦闘機などをテーマに、レーダー波に反応しないと言われるステルス技術に着目し、レーダー波を吸収する素材として知られているフェライトを使用し、爆心地、黒い雨、地球儀を題材にした作品を発表しています。
今回の展覧会「BEACH」では、2025年12月14日、オーストラリアのニューサウスウェールズ州シドニーにあるオーストラリアを代表する観光地である「ボンダイビーチ」で起こった銃乱射事件に焦点をあてた作品を発表します。

SAMO is an artist based in Kitakyushu, Japan. His activities re-examine contemporary society, conflicts between ethnic and religious groups, and historical events. Also as a skateboarder and street writer, he currently developing a art project “STEALTH”, an experimental project rooted in street culture and philosophy. This series utilizes ferrite powder—a material employed in military technology to absorb radar waves—and explores forms of expression that link the material's function of "concealment" to the sense of anonymity found on the streets.
Alongside guerrilla-style street interventions, he has presented art works at GALLERY SOAP, Kitakyushu and Art Center New in Yokohama. These works address themes such as war, the atomic bomb, and fighter jets, focusing on stealth technology—known for evading radar detection—and utilizing radar-absorbing ferrite materials to depict subjects like "Ground zero”, "Black rain," and "The globe".
In this exhibition "BEACH," his installation will be presented that focus on the mass shooting incident that occurred on December 14, 2025, at Bondi Beach—a major tourist destination in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
