A traditional Japanese wedding reimagined through YUMECHAN HOUSE’s 「和ピカソ」 style. 🎎✨
Inspired by Picasso’s emotional boldness and fused with traditional Japanese aesthetics, patterns, and symbolism, this piece was created to immediately stand apart from typical welcome boards on the market.
Most welcome boards lean toward simple and minimal designs.
I wanted the opposite.
Something guests stop and stare at.
Something that instantly feels like ART even to people unfamiliar with art.
The groom’s polka dot hair details were inspired by Yayoi Kusama — one of my biggest artistic inspirations. I usually avoid directly referencing other artists, but this time due to time constraints but most importantly, I intentionally fused iconic inspirations together so the artwork itself would become part of the wedding conversation.
And it did!!!
Guests gathered around it, photographed it, and naturally started conversations about the piece throughout the wedding. Have you realized the impact?

Rather than creating “just decoration,” my goal with YUMECHAN HOUSE welcome boards is to transform the atmosphere itself into something unforgettable and deeply personal to the couple.
This piece was created in only 4 hours for a traditional Japanese-style wedding, and the couple told me it became one of the happiest and most memorable gifts they received.
