Noren, used as room dividers in Japan, include a special type in Kanazawa called "hanayome noren," meant specifically for weddings. These celebratory silk curtains are dyed using the Kaga Yuzen technique, a traditional craft similar to that used in kimono making.
They are said to be hung at the entrance of the room where ancestors are enshrined, serving as a symbolic boundary for greeting the ancestors.
