7月16日より京都のmonade contemporary | 単子現代にて2人展がはじまります。
イベントもぜひご参加ください、どなたも大歓迎。
古代より薬、繊維、食材として重宝されながら、現代では厄介な雑草ともされる植物、葛（くず）。その存在は、変遷する人の暮らしや価値観を映す鏡でもあります。
もし葛にまなざしがあるなら、それはどんなものでしょうか？ピメリコによる映像と、奈良平華子の手編みニットで、永遠に交わらないかもしれない、人間と植物の視線を空間に展開します。

I'll be participating in a two-person exhibition "FOOL's GAZE – Kuzuo's Room" opening 16 July (Thu) at monade contemporary｜単子現代 in Kyoto.
Kudzu is a plant that has been valued since ancient times as medicine, fiber, and food — yet today is often dismissed as a troublesome w**d. Its existence mirrors the shifting values and ways of life of the people around it.
Through video installations by Pimeriko and hand-knit textiles by Narahira Hanako, the work unfolds the lines of sight between humans and plants — two perspectives that may never truly intersect.

Joined by guest Yumi Yamada (PhD, ecological researcher), we'll explore these questions in conversation with both artists.
