//The erosion of a culture starts with an endangered language. It would be a terrible thing if Hong Kong were to become like Guangzhou in a decade’s time. If we don’t insist on protecting and developing our languages and cultures, who else will share this responsibility? Upon reflection, I may need to reconsider my approach in communicating the “aesthetics” of Cantonese as a Chinese language. Beyond the energetic resistance and playfulness that have been associated with Cantonese, how to raise its image depends on how we tap into and develop its own beauty.//

「獅城の夕方」日落獅城 Sunset in Singapore

雲肌麻紙、金箔、すすき、象牙色、海老茶、竹綠

心象風景畫常在一幅圖裡表達一個季節，我們在同一幅畫的平面上能展現不同的季節輪流嗎？如果時間是一個圓形的運動，週而復始，在生命的輪迴與反覆中，自然會有怎樣的更新和啟示呢？我希望能在二維的畫面中呈現時間轉移的四維效果，在觀照自然的同時，感知變幻與靜止共存的美。 金箔的暖色在不同的觀看點呈現各異的光彩，這也可作為表達時間變化的方式。

心象風景画はつねに一枚の画面にひとつの季節を表現するが、私たちは同じ画面に異なる季節の巡りを表せないだろうか。もし、時間が円環運動であるなら、一回りして初めに戻ると、生命の反復と輪廻のなかで、自然はどのように更新され、己を外に啓くのだろうか。私は二次元の画面に時間の推移と四次元的効果を現出させ、自然の観照と同時に、変幻と静止が共存する美を感知できるようにしたい。 金箔の暖色は、異なる観点でそれぞれ別様な光彩を放っているが、それも時間の変化の方法としている。

Raindrops slide at ten centimeters per second.
Tears don’t deceit, as the evidence of our struggles.
Please, open your eyes, reveal your face.
The trace of life is forbearing and luminous.
It drips, and tastes as the ocean of yesterday.

目
雨滴以秒速十厘米滑落，
眼淚不會說謊。
它至少證明我們掙扎過。
請張開眼，別捂住臉。
隱忍而清晰，生命的痕跡。
液體淌下來
去年海水的味道。

火車開往2046
中途已被挾持
關上閘門滅了燈
趕到籠裡作困獸鬥
從前銀幕上的英雄
變成屍骸被踐踏而上

拖拉著三角形的鐵欄
乘客在困境裡向死而生
商場和車廂內傾盆雨下
濕漉漉的黑衣白口罩
恐怖已成無差別的日常

地鐵站翻搗腸胃的氣味
顆粒黏附肺部
呼吸引起陣痛
乾脆在水底抱起雙腳吧
讓廢墟中的島嶼浮起傘
迎接下一個週末的凌晨

罪惡張牙舞爪露出獰笑
槍棍橫行街道肆無忌憚
逼出驚恐又憤怒的刺蝟
亂局時上演各種羅生門
官員照著劇本自說夢話

有人活在威權的寶座上
有人爬上巴別塔端狂歡
有人為了維權血流披面
有人堅守崗位紀錄影像

車停了，我們懇求掙扎
總會以網絡安全的名義
駕駛系統已被黑客入侵
司機變成蒙面的廣播員
畫滿紋身的人看守月台
