The Yokota Dance Company The Yokota Dance Company specializes in dance classes for children. We are currently only running Hip-hop dance classes.

All classes are held at the Taiyo community centre at the Yokota AF base in Fussa, Tokyo. Our jazz and contemporary classes are not running at present due to the absence of a teacher. We are looking for a new teacher and hope to have these classes up and running again before the end of the year. Here are our hip-hop dance classes currently being run at the Taiyo Community Center on Friday afternoo

-Kindy Hip-Hop ( 5yrs ~ ) 3:00 - 3:40pm $40 for 4 lessons per month
-Beginner Hip-Hop (Grades 1~3) 3:45- 4:30pm $45 for 4 lessons per month
-Elementary Hip-Hop ( Grades 4 ~6) 4:40 - 5:30pm $50 for 4 lessons per month
-Teens Hip-Hop ( Grades 7 & up ) 5:45 - 6:45pm $60 for 4 lessons per month

Private Lessons- $35.00/ Lesson (50 minutes)
or $25.00/ Lesson (30 minutes)

Our Adult Hip hop dance classes will start next Thursday on March 5th! Moms, Dads, anyone over 18 welcome. It will be a beginner friendly class focusing on fitness and fun.
When: 5:30-6:20pm
Where: Taiyo Community Center.
Price: $50 /month for 4 lessons.

Next Friday, Oct 24 the Taiyo will be used for the haunted house, so our lessons are canceled.

Spring recital information!

We will have our 2025 spring recital at the Taiyo community center ballroom on Saturday ,June 21st .

The technical rehearsal will start at 1:00pm . All dancers will need to be at the Taiyo by 1:00pm in their first costume ready to go.

The Recital show starts at 3:00pm. Doors will open at 2:40pm
We’ll be finished by 4:00pm

We have a great line up of routines put together this year, so invite your family and friends to come and enjoy the show!

Good morning,
Due to a sudden funeral I have to attend tomorrow, I will be canceling all dance classes.
There are 5 Fridays in May, so we will have classes for all of those dates, thereby making up for there only being 3 classes in April.
I am very sorry for this inconvenience.

There is no tarp available so I just canceled the performance. I’m sorry about this everyone. I know a lot of the kids practiced really hard for this. The dances were looking great in practice yesterday.
But I won’t let there it be in vain. I have an idea to bring my green screens to the studio next month and set up a video shoot .
We can shoot the routines with a green screen background and I will then edit them and put together a Music video style movie for the kids . I will confirm it with the Taiyo staff and let you know on the shooting day .

Hello YDC parents and the students.

Just a reminder that tomorrow all students need to wear their costumes to class so that I can check to make sure we are all looking coordinated.

Also this message from the Taiyo:

Due to a big reservation at Taiyo tomorrow, we have changed the entrance to YDC class.

YDC classes will be held at 112B as usual, and students enter and exit the classroom through the side door of Room 112A.

The door leading to parking lot, not the main door at Taiyo.

We are so sorry for the inconvenience.
