Another Nihon University Volleyball Tournament has passed. Two nights and three days spent in Mishima’s newest gym. The business hotel we all stayed was pretty clean, comfortable, and the food was good. The bentos for lunch were equally good. Can’t say much about my team as they played below their level…with good reason: our starting setter is out with a back injury. Outside of volleyball, it was a good experience to bond and have camaraderie. The 2 1/2 hour bus ride was a bit long and cramped, but stopping at the rest areas was like a mini trip within a trip.

Highlights from the FREE Monster Hunter Festa 2026 (7 year hiatus). This was my 3rd time going and it was PACKED!!! It took us about 2 hours to get in AND some unfortunate people were denied entry. The people on the stage asked the audience, “Who’s first time at Monster Hunter Festa?” 90% of the hands went up. I don’t think Capcom was expecting such a huge turn-out since the last two Festas’ numbers were fairly low. Hopefully they have a bigger one next time to accommodate more people. #モンハンフェスタ
