**Upcoming Film: *Minions & Monsters***
**Release Date in Japan: August 7, 2026 (Friday)**
The story is set in 1920s Hollywood. The Minions rise as movie stars, lose everything, and then cause chaos by trying to bring real monsters into their film. It’s a comedy packed with laughter and pure mayhem.
The soundtrack features a must-hear track for jazz and swing enthusiasts: **“Congeroo from Hellzapoppin’”**.
This piece comes from the **1941** film *Hellzapoppin’*, where Frankie Manning and his team **Whitey's Lindy Hoppers** performed an incredible super dance.
For a long time, an accurate reproduction of the original sound was extremely difficult, but it was finally brought back to life in 2009 at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, during Frankie Manning’s 95th birthday celebration, performed by George Gee’s orchestra.
In Minions & Monsters, this song plays as a live band performance in a jazz club scene. While the audience dances the Lindy Hop, the Minions are shown discussing the script with film executives. The film uses the rare George Gee studio recording, making this short but memorable scene especially touching for jazz and swing dance fans.
