The Surugaya next to Chiba JR Station had some excellent soundtracks for sale. The Bloodborne OST would be an excellent addition to the collection, but its price puts it a bit out of reach for me. The other major find was the Mass Effect soundtrack!

The Sega Dreamcast and Sega Saturn stacks were well stocked with classic shooting games. Mars Matrix is the one that interests me most. It’s a shame it wasn’t included as part of the Capcom Arcade Stadium releases.

I do hope that the shop and staff are ok after last nights torrential rain. Many parts of Chiba saw major flooding. Heavy rain is expected to continue. Stay frosty, y’all!

It’s been a while since I last visited the Surugaya near Tsudanuma Station in Chiba. This shop has some cool video game soundtracks! R-Type Delta is easily my top pick.

Surugaya is slowly raising the prices on select Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 releases. Book OFF may be a better option to find these MGS editions at a lower price.

I didn’t have much time to dig through the video game showcase or stacks as I spent the majority of my time digging through the soundtracks. 😂. From what I did spot, Sega Rally Championship for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance is the game I’d like to play most. It’s out of my budget, but it’s one I’ll be keeping an eye out for. Good times!

The Super Book OFF Bazaar in Konosu, Saitama had a few bins of blank media. The prices for these were spot on, too!

This location is usually well stocked with handheld options. There were more than what I’m showing here. They had a decent deal on an OLED Nintendo Switch. This may be due to missing items.

I must admit that the silver PS3 looks smooth! The one posted here was at a very reasonable price, but was sold as untested. Cosmetically it was clean!

I picked up another game soundtrack, 😎. This time it was Super Street Fighter II. I also found a copy of the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack. The price for it wasn’t bad. I already own a copy otherwise it would have been an easy pickup!

My goodness, the R-Type Dimensions III box set is a thing of beauty! The Surugaya in Goi, Chiba had a mint copy for the Nintendo Switch. A great find! I was also surprised to find that the Care Bears got a Nintendo Switch game, 😂!

Things got more interesting down the soundtracks aisle. The big find was the Biohazard Pachi-Slot original soundtrack. As a hardcore fan, this was a no brainer pickup. The Raiden soundtrack was also essential. Surugaya is one of the best places to score out of print video game OSTs!

They also had a copy of Virtua Cop Re-Birth. This game is currently at the top of my PS2 wishlist. I didn’t buy it, however. I’m gonna hold out a bit longer and see if I can find at a lower price. Until then, the Sega Saturn and Dreamcast releases will keep me busy!

The Super Donkey Kong original soundtrack is a classic and also a premium! They still have a copy at the Hard OFF in Gyoda, Saitama if anyone is interested. They have some decent prices on the Super Famicom DK games, too.

It’s a shame that their copy of Sonic Mania for the Switch is badly torched! A number of games have pink spines, 😂. Unfortunately the Switch games are facing massive windows, so things will likely get worse.

Safe from the 🌞 is a copy of Border Down for the Sega Dreamcast. It’s missing the bonus CD, but even then it’s holding its value. Overall the stock hasn’t changed too much at this location, but I’ll still drop in whenever in the area.

What a lucky day! I found a copy of Digital Devil Saga Avatar Tuner 1 & 2 Original Sound Track: Integral at the Surugaya in Kisarazu, Chiba. This is a 4 CD set that is out of print. It wasn’t a bargain, but I wasn’t gonna let this one go!

This location finally matched its online price for Virtua Copy Re-Birth. I’m not certain how they go about pricing things. Some games can be less on their online store, others can be cheaper in-store, and some games will have the same price online and in-store. There are even a few things that are unlisted online.

Lastly, I was quite surprised by the price of Symphony of the Night. It’s fast approaching the ¥20,000 mark. The budget release can be found for far less. The PSOne Books edition is the most uncommon, but also sells for far less than the one featured here.

I can’t help but browse the soundtracks at the Surugaya in Konosu, Saitama. This location has an amazing selection of new and out of prints CDs. Even better is that their stock is frequently updated.

I got lucky and found a copy of the R-Type II soundtrack, and as a bonus it includes the tracks for X-Multiply! This particular soundtrack is of a 1990 vintage. Being long out of print, I wasn’t gonna let the chance to pick it up pass me by.

The Soul Edge soundtrack was another great find. In fact, they had a number of Namco game soundtracks in the stacks. I’m a bit curious about the Rave Racer soundtrack.

Surugaya, along with Book OFF, are great shops to hunt for soundtracks. Tower Records in Shibuya is another hot spot!
