Dear Housh family members, loved ones and friends. Juzef here. I wanted to inform you, if you have not already noticed, with deep pain, we have closed Housh.
During the three years, we have dealt with many hardships related to licensing from the Municipality of Fuheis, as well as problems with neighbors and family members.
Despite receiving my license from the Tourism Department, the Municipality of Fuheis did not give me the license, neither did they actually make a decision. I only wanted the ability to serve wine and beer, no hard liquors. More than once, the police were told I was serving alcoholic beverages, although I was not. Additionally, I continued to receive daily threats and lies.
For all of those who do not know, the idea of Housh was different, This 200 year old home was not only dear to me, it was a part of my identity. I am an EXPAT from the US, I quit my job, and sold my house to connect to my ancestors and motherland.
With all of that said, I still do not regret anything, through and through. I am so grateful to god and all of you who have supported me during this venture and self exploration. Thank you for sharing my vision!!
