I was approached by someone from a company who is organizing a huge tournament soon, they asked me if they added sc2 , how many of you guys will come out of retirement and duke it out ??? :D :D

Hey guys ! Another update :D

I landed a place for the invitational tournament ! I just need some feedback here , and I will be sending facebook messages to all the invited players + members of the group (if I can I still didnt figure it out) , invited players please confirm when you get the message.

As for the place , I was trying to find a place that can accommodate such an event with no charge costs without skimping on the quality of the event , a friend of mine who took over a "semi failing" network place in tla al ali , now what I mean by "semi failing" is that the place is relatively new , with some epic services (more about that below) had a really bad management crew for a few months , so now they are revamping the whole place , and they are looking to rebrand and upgrade the place to become one of the best places in amman (hopefully) , my friend just took over , I had a talk with him and he agreed to host the event there.

The pcs itself arent the best because the lame previous management focused alot on the consul stations while COMPLETELY screwing over the pcs, however they will get a minor upgrade to accommodate low to mid quality of sc2 before the event, but I think we can manage , like I said the place is still upgrading their equipment and business model.

Now as for the services at the event , we will have our own separate station , kinda like what we had at gameholic - in the end they are a business and they have other customers I think everyone can understand that - for our viewing pleasure they offered to give us their one of their best and most isolated consul stations with couches and great space to accommodate everyone .

As for the services , now I honestly love this s**t ! the network place also offers agreeleh and full restaurant services ! they have an inhouse cafe and they can order from their partner restaurant downstairs (they are owned by the same person) , and prices are no issue for spectators and players , we have a discount....btw when I say full restaurant I mean FULL ! they got everything ! and a pretty decent agreeleh , I believe all these services are necessary because of the fact that this is an 8 player double elimination tournament , we need a full day for this.

Once I get full confirmation from the place (few days max) and the invited players (coming or not) , I will start an online qualifier for the rest of Jordan's sc2 scene to fill up to positions until we get 8 players.

Hey guys ! Abdallah here with a small announcement :D

Since the next sponsored tournament is taking a bit longer than expected , I have decided to sponsor my very own small tournament because I can , and for the fun :)

Note : I just thought of this 5 minutes ago :P , so nothing is final this is just an announcement to see if the community and list of invited players are down with the concept , so please leave some feedback.

This small tournament is called the "Slicks Invitational" , it will be an 8 player double elimination tournament , with 6 invited players and 2 players qualifying through an online qualifier.

Like I said I only thought of this 5 minutes ago , so I don't have dates , or a place booked for the main 8 player tournament , but if you guys leave enough feedback here , I'll get to it right away !

By the way if this mini tournament series kicks off with some success , it might help me find some sponsors later on just like how cashu sponsored sc2mena , just sayin'..... XD

Back to the topic , the following 6 players are invited to the tournament based on their performance in our last 3 major tournaments (XFX , WCG Jordan 2011/2012) :

1- Tareq Abu Shaar (WCG 2012 Champion , 2nd place WCG 2011 , 2nd place XFX )

2- Ghassan Al Masri (XFX Champion , 4th place WCG 2012)

3- Osama Amayreh (WCG 2011 Champion)

4- Zaid Mehyar (3rd/4th place WCG 2011 , 3rd place 2012)

5- Omar Wahbeh (3rd place XFX)

6- Mohammad Amayreh (WCG 2012 2nd place)

The final 2 spots will belong who ever comes out as 1st and 2nd place in the online qualifier.

The prize pool is as follows : 1st place : 50 dinars , 2nd place : 25 dinars , 3rd place : 12 dinars , sorry it ain't something huge or fancy , but it could be the beginning of something cool :D , and honestly I am doing this because I'd like to see some more community activity , and a few epic rematches :P

So leave your feed back guys ! possible dates , format suggestions , for now I have 1 place in mind to do the 8 player tournament , but more suggestions are not bad , if it is not possible then we can do this whole thing online (i prefer not to honestly) , anyway you guys get the idea.
