dan aspires to uphold and promote its own rich traditions in music and theatre, alongside internationally acclaimed performers, attracting visitors from all over the world. FJF events have not merely increased tourism to Jordan, but encouraged a variety of
business partnerships worldwide, boosting Jordan’s own economy and developing its service sectors. The new symbol is a plant motif found in Islamic architecture, and lifted from Amman’s Umayyad Palaces found in Jordan. The colours of blue and grey, stable and strong, represent a determination to see FJF ambitions
realized, and in bringing people together with a common love of culture, music and the performing arts. FJF encapsulates His Majesty King Abdullah’s vision of Jordan as a tourist and economic destination with its world class arts entertainment and renown

الحرفيون الأردنيون الاستثنائيون
مبادرة وطنية بدعم من السفارة الفرنسية في الأردن

تُعلن السفارة الفرنسية في الأردن عن إطلاق دعوة وطنية مفتوحة للتقديم ضمن مشروع "الحرفيون الأردنيون الاستثنائيون"، وهي مبادرة تهدف إلى اكتشاف ودعم والاحتفاء بأبرز الحرفيين في المملكة.

يسعى هذا المشروع إلى اختيار مجموعة محدودة من الحرفيين المتميزين الذين تعكس أعمالهم مستوى عاليًا من الحرفية، والإتقان التقني، والقيمة الثقافية، مع حضور واضح للعمل اليدوي كعنصر أساسي في الإنتاج. كما ترحّب المبادرة بالتصميم كعنصر تكميلي يعزّز العمل الحِرفي.

الدعوة مفتوحة للحرفيين العاملين في مجالات متعددة، بما في ذلك: الأخشاب، الحجر، الخزف، النسيج، المعادن، المجوهرات، الأثاث، الفسيفساء، وغيرها من الممارسات الحرفية.

سيحصل الحرفيون المختارون على منحة إنتاج بقيمة 600 دينار أردني لتطوير قطعة حرفية استثنائية خلال ثلاثة أشهر، مع إمكانية عرض الأعمال لمدة تصل إلى عام واحد، مع احتفاظ الحرفيين بالملكية الكاملة لأعمالهم بعد انتهاء فترة العرض.

Exceptional Jordanian Craftsmen
A national initiative supported by the Embassy of France in Jordan

The Embassy of France in Jordan is pleased to launch a national open call for applications for the project Exceptional Jordanian Craftsmen, an initiative dedicated to identifying, supporting, and celebrating outstanding artisans across the Kingdom.

This initiative aims to select a limited number of exceptional artisans whose work demonstrates high levels of craftsmanship, technical mastery, and cultural depth, with a strong handmade component at its core. Design is welcomed as a complementary element that enhances craft practice.
Applications are open to artisans working across a wide range of disciplines, including woodwork, stone, ceramics, textiles, metalwork, jewelry, furniture, mosaic, and other craft-based practices.

Selected artisans will receive a production grant of JOD 600 to develop one exceptional handcrafted piece within three months. Selected works may be exhibited for up to one year, with full ownership retained by the artisans after the exhibition period.
