I’ve got a little knitting trick I want to share with you today 🧶✨

If you’ve ever set up a 2x2 rib for a tubular bind-off, you might have noticed that the stitches can sometimes look a bit stretched or uneven once you rearrange them into a 1x1 rib.

In this tutorial, I’m showing you a simple way to keep everything much neater — by working the rearrangement from the inside while knitting in the round with magic loop. It’s such a small adjustment, but it makes a big difference in the final look.

You can watch the full tutorial over on my YouTube channel (link in bio) 🤍

If knitting small circumferences has ever felt a bit tricky… this might change everything.

The magic loop method lets you knit sleeves, socks, cuffs (and more) using just one long circular needle — no DPNs needed.

It can feel a little awkward at first, but once it clicks, it really does feel like magic ✨

You know when a project starts before it even really starts?

I used to treat the cast-on like a step I just needed to get through… until I started working with two colours right from the beginning.

For my Twin Brim Hat, I went down a bit of a rabbit hole trying to find an edge that actually felt right. Not too loose, not too plain, and not like an afterthought.

And then I found this one.

It took me a few tries (and a bit of patience), but now it’s one of those techniques I keep coming back to.

I wrote a full tutorial with video + step-by-step photos if you want to try it yourself. Available on my blog.

Do you care about your cast-on edge… or is it just a means to an end?

This sweater and I have been in a complicated relationship lately. 🫠

I opened this yoke not once… but twice.
Wrong calculations.
Not dramatic mistakes.
Just those tiny, overconfident, “that should work” kind of thinking errors.

Spoiler: it did not work.

There is something very humbling about ripping back your own design — especially when you’re the one who wrote the math. 😅

But this is knitting.
And this is designing.

You calculate.
You knit.
You realize.
You frog.
You recalculate.
You knit again.

Honestly? That’s the real knitter’s life. 🧶

Progress isn’t always linear — sometimes it’s circular… straight back to the yoke.

Tell me I’m not the only one who’s had “confident math energy” betray them? 😌

That fun two-colour edge on the Twin Brim Hat?
I’ve just shared a new YouTube tutorial breaking down exactly how to knit it — step by step, clearly explained, and easier than it looks.

If you’ve been curious about two-colour edges or want to try something new without committing to a full brioche project, this one’s for you.

One pattern, two skeins, four designs.
The Twin Brim Hat is fully reversible — flip the brim, turn it inside out, and suddenly it’s a completely different hat.

Clever knitting, zero extra effort.

One of my private students finished this beautiful piece, and I couldn’t be prouder 🤍

We’ve been knitting together for years now, and watching her skills grow has been such a joy. Fun fact: almost all her projects are baby knits — each one more thoughtful and beautifully made than the last.

Many people don’t know this, but alongside group workshops, I also offer private knitting sessions — tailored, slow, and fully focused on your pace and projects.

There’s something really special about long-term learning and building confidence stitch by stitch ✨

If you’re curious about private sessions, feel free to message me 🤍
