In a meeting with Eric Sogocio, Chargé d’Affaires of Brazil in Jamaica, and Ademar Danilo, producer, researcher, and guardian of reggae history in Brazil, we discussed the cultural programme for Reggae Month in February.
Brazil and Jamaica meet not only through sound, but through memory, the circulation of ideas, and deep respect for cultural roots.
D.ONE operates precisely in this space — where culture connects countries and histories continue to be written.

🌟 D.One at A Night Under the Stars!

This past weekend, we had the honour of being part of an unforgettable evening at the Kingston Polo Club, celebrating art, culture, and the vibrant connection between Brazil and Jamaica.

Our cultural contribution featured the curated photography exhibition Portraits of Axé by acclaimed Brazilian photographer Fred Pontes, whose work moved the audience with powerful images portraying the beauty and strength of Afro blocos from Bahia’s Carnival.

We are deeply grateful for the presence of the Ambassador of Brazil to Jamaica, the Deputy Head of Mission of the French Embassy, Minister of State in Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica, and the generous support of Novia McDonald-Whyte, Karen Kranenburg, Heidi Lalor, Sagicor Investments, Seabed and Select Brands.

We remain committed to building cultural bridges and strengthening international ties through the power of art.
