I thought Nikita and Dani's Rumba on Saturday was elegant, sensual and I gave it an 8 against the judges 6+. Perhaps they could see things that the camera avoided showing us - it happens a lot!

Last day today to take the offer price for the next series of dances, with beginners starting 7pm on Tuesday (Ballroom - Waltz etc) and 7pm Thursday Latin (Cha cha cha this week). We teach from absolute beginners, through to Gold Bar awards and up to training candidates for their professional exams. Our new beginners in 2018, Jasmine and JC, became qualified last year. Zero to hero!
But as Confucious said, "The longest of journeys begins with but a single step!"
We are here for you, and you'll be able to dance by December!

This is your last chance to start learning to dance before Christmas, with Simply Ballroom, Jersey. Our new Beginners Courses start next week at d'Auvergne School. Tuesday 20th at 7:00pm for Ballroom and Thursday 22nd at 7:00pm for Latin American. We specialise in teaching couples, but limited spaces are always available for singles. In the video, Jasmine and JC are dancing part of the Thursday 8pm course routine, at the Tower Ballroom, Blackpool.

Tuesday courses run from October 20th to November 24th – 6 Lessons
Tuesday 7.00 Beginner’s Ballroom – Waltz, Social Slow Foxtrot, and basic Quickstep
Tuesday 8.00 Ballroom Level 2/3 - Waltz and Quickstep, including new figures in both dances
Thursday courses run from October 22nd to November 26th
Thursday 7.00 Latin American Beginners A - Cha, Cha, Cha, Rumba, and a little Jive
Thursday 8.00 Latin American Level 2/3 - Cha and Rumba, including new figures, beyond Level 2
Your place on the course will be secure once voucher is purchased / payment is received. Deal prices of £78 for any six week course, for one couple are still available directly from Tony. When the deal ends, if there is availability, payment is £122 per dancing couple. Join us on Halloween for a night of gruesome costumes, with fabulous dancing and forever memories. Be there, or miss out!
Simply Ballroom, Jersey, together with Autum Leaves are pleased to announce our Halloween Dance, on Halloween!
Halloween dressing up is optional, although there will be prizes for the best/most ghastly dressed dancers.
Dancing starts at 8.00pm until 10.30, at St Lawrence Parish Hall. All your usual Ballroom, Latin American, Rock and Roll, and Sequence dances to your favourite tunes, with fun prize dances throughout the evening.
Live music until the interval with Philip Le Claire of Autumn Leaves.
Interval raffle to support EyeCan – Jersey’s own charity for the blind and partially sighted.
Donated Raffle prizes for our charity raffles are always, and always will be gratefully received.
Bring your own refreshments.
Admission £8 per person.

Join Phil and Christine of DM Dance, on their regular visit to Jersey, along with our local dancers for a fun and relaxing few days of our favourite activity! Still a few rooms available for this event, if you wish to stay. From £325 for 3 nights, half board, or join us for the dance functions for £10 per per person, for each function.

We had a wonderful night last night, with many old friends appearing after absences of several months. We hadn't seen Ken Le Claire since the pandemic, who came as our guest with his daughter Gina. Thanks to everyone for making it, and helping to make the evening such a pleasant one.
We were delighted to dance the first set to the fabulous tunes of our good friend, Philip Le Claire, who kindly donated his time to support this evenings raffle charity - Jersey Hospice! A total of £207 was raised for Hospice, in memory of Sandra Kearns, who recently passed away in their care. Big hugs to Taylor and her family. 🥹❤️
Here we are dancing a sequence - Rumba No. 1, maybe!
Hope to see you all at our next Saturday Social dance, which will be on Halloween!

Quick reminder that we have our dance tomorrow at St Lawrence Parish Hall. Prize dances in both halves, with the interval raffle supporting Jersey Hospice Care. Dancing starts at 8.00pm, and Philip Le Claire will be playing for us during the first session and we are delighted to say that he has waived his fee which will also be donated to Jersey Hospice Care. Admission £5 each. Simply Ballroom, Jersey is always proud to support local charities. Donated raffle prizes are aways welcome. The team are looking forward to seeing you all there. Please bring your own refreshments and your sense of humour! 😁💃🕺
