What does live music look like? 🎶🎨 (Ticket link in bio) 🎫
Part gig. Part drawing session. Part “let’s see what happens”.
Join Sam Temple, Tom Rolls and Axon Bower from the Songwriters’ Society alongside The Stoodio’s Sophie Harris and Hayley Gibaut, for a relaxed evening of original music, art and creative energy.

Each act will share a set of their own original songs, with artwork from their musical projects on display too. When they’re off stage, they’ll be getting stuck into the art making alongside everyone else.
You’re welcome to create whatever you like. Take inspiration from a lyric, a rhythm, the musicians’ artwork or something happening around you. If you’re unsure where to start, Sophie and Hayley will offer simple, playful prompts to get you going.
We’ll kick things off with a few creative warm-ups: draw a sound, follow a movement, swap your paper and add to somebody else’s marks. No pressure to make a masterpiece—just a chance to try things out and have some fun.
Then enjoy the original sets, with the freedom to keep drawing, dip in and out, or simply listen.
At the end of the night, the inspiration goes both ways. All three musicians will come together for a live jam, taking ideas from the pictures we’ve made and conversations we’ve shared. We’ll roll out one huge collaborative surface so everyone can keep adding to it as the music takes shape.
A song might spark a drawing. A drawing might spark a song. Who knows where we’ll end up?
That’s what this night is about: good music, good company and space to have a go.
No art experience needed. All materials provided. Taking part in the drawing and painting is completely optional.
Come on your own or bring a friend. Come to draw, come for the music, or come for both.

This month hits different.

Back from Brighton, Monty Taft and Drew Goodwin return home with fresh tunes, ahead of our big show the following night with Lib Live supporting Jamie Webster and Dave McCabefrom the Zutons.
.

Monty and Drew will be sharing some stripped-back sets from their latest projects, The Getaway and Monty and the Ragtails.
A rare chance to catch them in a more intimate setting while they’re back on the island.
Along side them we will be doing what we do best, a handpicked lineup of local songwriters, original songs only, and that fly-on-the-wall atmosphere.

Tom is a multi instrumentalist and live loop artist who layers diverse melodies over one-shot sample drum beats. His sound encompasses a euphoric energy, the live performance being a fundamental part of his practice.

Kacey featured at our fist show SWS back in 2016 at the Lido and has since gone on to play at venues all over Jersey. After a short break from the many cover gigs she’s back sharing the more personal side of her musical journey.

Craig Smith- Born and raised in Jersey, my music pulls from real moments, real people, and real emotions. This year, I’m launching my first annual fan-driven campaign and album, inviting listeners to be a part of the journey from the ground up.



Josh is a multi genre artist influenced by R&B/Soul, Hip/Hop, Rap, and much more. Currently performing as a duo alongside Tom Rolls, the combination of their sounds makes for an electric evening, filled with energy and good vibes.



With a natural draw to raw and thought-provoking singer/songwriters’ such as Jamie T, Jeff Buckley, Nic Mulvey and Ren- David Keenan, A.K.A. Axon Bower’s sound is far from static. His sound flows from indie-rock to funk between melodic intricacies and feel-good grooves sat in hook-heavy tracks.

Over the years, he has built his distinctive sound and forged meaningful connections with his audiences. In addition to his acoustic roots, Isaac has released music with several UK labels within the drum & bass scene.

are a Jersey based piano/keyboard & vocal duet with a wide range of performing & composition experience.

is a singer-songwriter living in Jersey. With influences from pop to folk, she is releasing her first EP, Unfiltered, later this year. When not singing (or at school) she’s almost certainly in or on the sea.

Event description:
Come and soak up a magical evening with your favourite and under the radar local songwriters.
SWS (Songwriters Society) is a non for profit collective that supports and showcases original music, poetry, and art through events workshops and music label services.
A rising tide lifts all boats approach.
SWS are proud to collaborate with the intimate setting of Jerseys newest music venue - The Sundown.
Expect two original songs from each act who will be sharing songs most of which are rarely performed in public.
The night will be hosted by David Keenan (Axon Bower) to help keep the energy and atmosphere flowing.
Join us for a fly one the wall seat as performers lock in and share the fruits of their labour in this professionally filmed event.
