Today is World Mental Health Day!
Here at DDMIX, we have a passion for dance-based fitness and believe the best way of getting fit and improving your mental wellbeing is by doing something you enjoy. By participating in dance, you can achieve your goals by not looking upon exercise as a chore. We love group exercise classes with non-correctional instruction, that are fun and all inclusive.

TELLING LIBERATION STORIES THROUGH DANCE...

ArtHouse Jersey is looking for Jersey-based dancers with backgrounds in any genre of dance, for a choreographic project aiming to bring to life some of the stories celebrating Liberation 75. Any ages over 16 years are welcome to apply. Applicants should be comfortable with being filmed and photographed, performing live, and a small amount of improvisation. They must also be able to pick up and retain simple choreographic sequences.

The creative process will consist of 10-12 workshops over a six-week period in November/December, located primarily at the Barracks at Grève de Lecq. All Jersey Government COVID restrictions and recommendations will be observed.

If interested, please send a brief written or video outline of your background in dance, your reasons for wanting to be part of the project, and what you feel you would be able to bring to the table. Please send this to Carrie Cooper at [email protected] by 10am on Friday 30 October. The first session will take place the following week on Friday 6 November.

Hello all, gosh it has been a while - family illness, my husband and daughter away filming and then Covid-19 arriving on our doorsteps!

I am getting lots of enquiries about a potential daytime DDMIX CLASS (lots of new music and routines) and I wondered if people would give me their thoughts on daytime classes and times.

Traditionally our DDMIX CLASS is 45 minutes and I wondered if we had a town venue if lunchtime might work?

With people still working remotely I am also looking at a potential zoom class.

Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you all soon.
