Each of these falconry sessions can be tailored to your needs, for example:
A fun afternoon just for you and your family, flying our various Owls Hawks and Falcons. A taste of Falconry, come and fly a

Harris Hawk kin the manor grounds, learns a Falconers Knot and how to use and fit basic equipment, ideal for someone thinking of taking up Falconry. Photographing the birds in free flying close up action. Falconry courses can be run on five consecutive sessions or spread out over several weeks. The above sessions are held in the private grounds of St Johns Manor, 2 people per session , but your are able to invite 2 further adults for £15pp. please note experience not suitable for children under the age of 5. Should transport be an issue, I will be able to provide transport to the session and back. The cost of a Falconry Experience is 120.00

FALCONER RETURNS TO CASTLE

The Tudor Falconer, Jean Simon, is a firm favourite with our visitors to Mont Orgueil and he returns to the Castle for 2026 from 3 June, together with his hawk, Sovereign.

You can see the pair in action on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 10am-4pm, with the main flying display at about 1pm, depending on the weather.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Bart, our beloved European Eagle Owl. At 36 years old, Bart has lived a long and remarkable life.

Bart was a truly remarkable bird who touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of seeing him. He will be deeply missed.

Thank you to everyone who supported and showed love for Bart over the years — your kindness meant so much.

Join Richard Hall, Falconer of 36 years in an experience of a lifetime getting up close and personal with stunning birds of prey. Enjoy a falconry experience within the beautiful grounds of St. John's Manor. The falconry experience costs £140 and entitles you and one guest to an afternoon of flying the birds.
