On 1 August 2026, at the Auditorium Parc du Château de Florans, ＬｕｃａｓＤｅｂａｒｇｕｅ and Victor Julien-Laferrière present a programme built around four key works for cello and piano.

The recital opens with Fauré’s Sonata in D minor, op. 109, followed by Franck’s Sonata in A major, performed in the transcription for cello. The programme continues with Nadia Boulanger’s Three Pieces, and concludes with Grieg’s Sonata in A minor, op. 36, a work of broad formal scope.

ＬｕｃａｓＤｅｂａｒｇｕｅ opened the Verbier Festival 2026 with a magnetic performance of Messiaen’s Turangalîla‑Symphonie, conducted by Esa‑Pekka Salonen.
A display of power and imagination in one of the most “diabolically difficult” works of the twentieth‑century repertoire.

The concert is available on Medici.TV for 90 days.

In his second appearance at the Festival, Debargue gave full voice to his pianism with a recital spanning centuries of music: Scarlatti, Beethoven, Liszt, and his own 20 Concert Variations & Finale on Gershwin’s Summertime, a work that reveals his personal and unique compositional voice.

The recital will be broadcast on MEDICI.TV on 27 July at 6:30 pm.

A duo of remarkable synergy, welcomed with great warmth by the audience.

The concert concluded with Knaifel’s Lux Aeterna: the hall in darkness, and 12 candles extinguished in succession marking the 12 sections of the piece.

On 4 July in Liepaja, Lucas Debargue presented the Concerto in G major for piano and orchestra with Liepājas Simfoniskais orķestris, a score that allowed him to highlight his way of shaping the musical line: clean phrasing, attention to detail, and a dialogue with the orchestra that unfolded naturally. It marked a return to a repertoire that suits him, approached with a focus on musical substance and the internal coherence of the piece.

Lucas Debargue — Australian Tour 2026
A selection of moments from the tour that brought Lucas to Brisbane, Castlemaine, Melbourne, Sydney and Ukaria. The programs featured Gabriel Fauré, Thème et Variations Op. 73, Maurice Ravel, Gaspard de la Nuit M. 55, and his own Summertime Variations on a theme by George Gershwin. The tour was marked by a strong focus on sound, sharply defined dynamic contrasts, and a clear sense of structural direction, with excellent audience engagement throughout.

masterfully conducted the Orchestra of .The evening opened in the first half with the celebrated soloist , who delivered a sparkling performance of Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor. This extraordinary piece highlighted a perfect rapport and an ideal artistic chemistry between the conductor and the soloist.
The second half of the evening presented a true litmus test for the conductor, which he passed brilliantly with Béla Bartók’s monumental Concerto for Orchestra (BB\ 123 / Sz\ 116). Displaying incredible charisma, Chauhan led the orchestra in a truly memorable and noteworthy performance.
