La tavola racconta storie, custodisce rituali e mette in dialogo culture.

“Geografie della Tavola. Design contemporaneo tra Europa e Asia”, mostra nell’ambito di Venice Design Week, invita a scoprire come oggetti, materiali e gesti quotidiani possano diventare luoghi di incontro e scambio.

Al Museo d’Arte Orientale di Venezia, le creazioni di Luzerne, Triptych, Tickle Quo / Tongqi Design e Brigitta B. Horváth, Adele Stefanelli e Anita Cerpelloni dialogano con le collezioni storiche: porcellane, versatoi per il tè e il sakè, preziosi portavivande in lacca. Un percorso tra saperi artigianali e ricerca contemporanea, per guardare la tavola con occhi nuovi.

Meet the designers shaping Venice Design Week 2026

Today we introduce Luzerne, a Singaporean fine china brand with over 80 years of tradition, producing bespoke porcelain for the food, hospitality, and airline industries, proudly made in Dehua, China, birthplace of Blanc de Chine.

Their Qin Collection draws from the visual language of China's first imperial dynasty: ancient engravings and artefacts translated into composed, refined porcelain forms.

Twenty-three pieces designed to hold their heritage while settling naturally into contemporary settings

Meet the designers shaping Venice Design Week 2026.

Hambardzum Vardanyan is a creative technologist based in Yerevan and founder of Leora, a studio using computational design to create nature-inspired lamps grown from parametric systems.

Founded in 2025 and shown at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, Leora's approach is built around a simple idea: people design their own lamp in the browser, download the file, and 3D print it locally. Less shipping, no overproduction, and an object someone shaped themselves tends to stay in use for decades

Today we introduce Elisabeth Seidel, a Cologne-based designer who founded her studio in 2024 after completing her degree at Köln International School of Design and Shenkar University in Tel Aviv.

Her practice moves between scientific research and hands-on making, exploring how the intangible becomes tangible through material and form.

Winner of the Future Forward Award by Blickfang and an Arte Laguna Special Prize, her work Crystals, Baby! brings that poetic sensitivity to Venice

KINGA OLAH

What if a jewel only revealed its message when you touched it?

Meet Kinga Olah, Hungarian jewellery artist based in London, who expanded her practice through an MA at the Royal College of Art. Her work explores the relationship between body and matter, with touch as a generative force.

Using thermochromic pigment on brass, silver and copper, her pieces respond to the warmth of the body: a black surface turns gold, a word emerges on a ring, seven pins reveal their vocabulary one fingertip at a time. Intimacy becomes visible, and a fleeting contact leaves a trace.

At ‘I DON’T SHINE, I have something to say’ 2026, Kinga presents a brooch, a double-finger ring, Series of Seven: Vocabulary of Touch and The Torso: Collective Somatic Field, an installation that gathers the warmth of its visitors.

“Somatic exchange moves energy, changes matter, and entangles us.”

Today we introduce Georgina Yen Qin Lee, Australian-Chinese ceramic artist and designer working under the name Yen Qin, whose practice uses ceramics to reconnect with her Peranakan Chinese ancestral roots, recovering stories lost across generations of diaspora.

Dynasty by Yen Qin x Luzerne brings that research to the table: a porcelain collection developed with Singaporean brand Luzerne, where classical forms, lotus, phoenix, ruyi cloud, are reworked with a contemporary edge for a bold, mix-and-match aesthetic

Today we introduce Tongqi Lu, designer and founder of TONGQI Design, a studio established in 2021 working across glassware, lighting, furniture, and home accessories.

Her practice is rooted in the calming presence of nature: fog over mountains, the rhythm of the sea, translated into objects designed to restore a sense of presence in everyday urban life.

Her Slowly Rising green glassware collection and the Rooted Catnip Vase bring that sensibility to the table
