OPEN AUDITION - MATSENA PRODUCTIONS

Returning from its US premiere in New York, Matsena Productions is holding auditions for its London Sadler’s Wells East (Spring 2027) performance of KABEL.

We’re looking for male presenting dancers, with a strong movement background in contemporary and/or hip-hop, and experience in acting/speaking with text.

DATES:
Auditions will be held in London October 24 with callbacks October 25. All those auditioning must have the right to work in the UK with availability from early March - Mid May 2027.

Matsena is heading to Italy. 🇮🇹

We’re writing and composing a new operatic Macbeth — drawing from Shakespeare’s original tragedy and Verdi’s extraordinary operatic interpretation.

Anthony is heading to Bogliasco for a residency at the Bogliasco Foundation, where he’ll spend the time developing this piece, writing, composing and exploring what a new Macbeth can be.

Shakespeare.
Verdi.
And now, something new.

We’re incredibly excited to begin this journey in Liguria.

Bogliasco, here we come. 🇮🇹

This is where it all began.

Two years ago, we stepped into the Richard Burton Theatre with an idea, a group of brilliant collaborators, and a lot of questions. BOY-ISH was just an R&D then.

Tomorrow, we come back with a full production.

The journey from those first explorations to opening night has been filled with laughter, doubt, friendship, chaos, discovery, and countless conversations about what it means to grow up as boys and become men.

Returning to the place where the seeds were first planted feels incredibly special.
