Giuseppe Stampone: Global Education Welcome to Venice

on view at VAP992a – Fondamenta Sant'Anna 992/a until 22 June
is part of Handle With Care a six-month research project carried out by the students of the 26th Corso in Pratiche Curatoriali e Arti Contemporanee

The project will encourage involvement of local Venetians and international artists alike.

This exhibition’s point of departure was an investigation into socio-cultural and environmental threats afflicting Venice.
The young curators aim to highlight how the city has become a symbol of the increasingly irreversible and unstable global circumstance. HANDLE WITH CARE addresses these issues with the principle notion of care, and its binary definition comprising of both therapy and prevention. The site-specific projects presented by the artists are primarily characterised by their participatory nature, with the aim of actively connecting to the social fabric of the city.

~ Ieri mattina, è stato inaugurato il primo intervento del progetto Handle With Care presso l’Istituto Comprensivo Dante Alighieri plesso Pier Fortunato Calvi. hanno aderito alla piattaforma globale di arte partecipata , ideata nel 2011 dall’artista , a seguito della vittoria della vittoria del . L’intervento fotografico narra la storia (di una piccola parte) della comunità veneziana espressa in gigantografie affisse alle finestre della Scuola in via Garibaldi ~
