🎼 Faculty Feature: Dr. Kristin Ditlow 🎼

We're so incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Kristin Ditlow with us here at FIO! Kristin is a has been the Music Director for this season's production of "Li finti filosofi." She's directed several incredible FIO productions in collaboration with the Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini. She's worked both in the United States and internationally as a pianist, conductor, and coach. Currently, she's based in New Mexico, where she's the Associate Professor of Vocal Coaching at the University of New Mexico and the Music Director of the UNM Opera Theater.

I Pazzi per Progetto showcased impeccable comic timing and stagecraft from every member of the cast. Their artistry and dedication brought seven distinctive characters vividly to life. Outstanding singing and engaging performances, combined with the expert musical guidance of Thiago de Freitas, assisted by Yu-Chien Huang, made this a truly delightful opera to experience.

🎭 Faculty Feature: Dr. Nicole Kenley-Miller 🎭

We're so delighted that Dr. Nicole Kenley-Miller is back with us at FIO this season! Nicole is here this year directing our production of "Li finti filosofi," which we're producing in collaboration with Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini. Nicole is a director, producer, singer, and creative artist. She's based at the University of Oklahoma, where she's an Assistant Professor of Music and serves as the Opera State Director.

🎶 Today's faculty feature is Dr. Johnnie Bankens! 🎶

Johnnie has spent several summers at FIO as a part of our voice faculty, where he's shared his wonderful skills with our young artists. He's a bass and has performed all over the Untied States and abroad. Currently, Johnnie teaches at Southeastern Louisiana State University, where he is an Associate Professor of Music.
