celebrates its fortieth anniversary with FESTA!, the first solo exhibition by in the new Milan space, following previous presentations in Turin (2021) and London (2022) galleries.

From the title itself, the exhibition invites to recognise artistic practice as a political act and as a celebration of the power of communitas, a concept that has been central to Senatore’s research for over two decades. From the outset of her career, the artist has conceived her role as activator of processes and experiences in which individual subjectivities can meet and emerge with their distinct identities within shared spaces of action and thought. This vision lies at the core of The School of Narrative Dance, through which Senatore has given voice and visibility to millions of people worldwide across major national and international public commissions.

In 1969, Gordon Matta-Clark assisted Dennis Oppenheim with the ex*****on of Beebe Lake Ice Cut, a work conceived for the Earth Art exhibition organized by Cornell University. An extraordinary film document, exceptionally on view for this exhibition, shows Matta-Clark and Oppenheim at work with chainsaws, rakes, and sorghum brooms as they realize Oppenheim’s project.

On view until June 26, 2026, the exhibition “On the Edge of a Waterfall, Cutting Ice” at Montrasio Arte starts from this premise. Organized in collaboration with the artists’ respective estates, it presents several pivotal works, from their early beginnings until 1978, the year of Matta-Clark’s untimely death. Extensive photographic and bibliographic documentation allows for a deeper exploration of the two artists’ histories.

Inaugurated on the occasion of the Milano Art Week, the first solo institutional exhibition in Italy by artist Romane de Watteville awaits you at Istituto Svizzero until July 4, 2026. The exhibition comes in the form of an environmental installation specifically designed for the spaces of Istituto Svizzero in Milan and titled "I’ll miss you when I scroll away".

De Watteville’s work sways between the pleasure of aesthetic saturation and a vertiginous descent into a digital rabbit hole. Her figurative paintings draw voraciously from a wide range of sources, spanning art-historical iconographies, cinematic motifs and imagery drawn from everyday image-based experiences of fashion and design. Extracted, disassociated and recombined on canvas, her subjects seem to be filtered through the fragmentation of screen-based culture, producing an overloaded, subtly hallucinatory perceptual field.

In Lugano, Repetto Gallery presents Alessandro Piangiamore's first solo exhibition "La polvere ci mostra che la luce esiste" (When dust reveals the light).

The title draws inspiration from the chapter "Dust in Suspension" from French philosopher Georges Didi-Hubermann’s book "Accidental Knowledge", in which dust becomes a metaphor for what manifests itself only at the moment of passage, collision, or crossing. These reflections are expressed in the artist’s work through visual representations which inhabits an imaginary world, suspended between the real and the ephemeral. In his research, Piangiamore engages in a continuous dialogue with natural elements, chosen for their sensory and perceptual qualities, such as earth, dust, light, air, colours, and smells. The exhibition further explores his poetics in an attempt to give form to that which lies on the border between the intangible and the concrete.

For three days only, from June 13 to 15, the exhibition "Eravamo notte, ora siamo giorno" curated by Sabato De Sarno awaits you at PAC Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea. The project is an open, ever-expanding collection of photographic portraits and intimate shots gathered over a decade in Milan and Naples by Ambrosia Fortuna.

The images in the exhibition are neither stolen shots nor external documentation: they are internal testimonies, shared choices, visions developed within a profound emotional and political network. The series brings together the faces, bodies, and gestures of people who, like the author, experienced the night as a place of identity, transformation, and sisterhood. Not just performers, but friends, lovers, sisters: intimate presences who inhabit the frame with the confidence and fragility of those who feel safe.

Last weekend to visit Mirak Jamal’s "A Guest is a Blessing" at Rose Easton, in London. Closing on June 7, 2026, the exhibition presents interiors rendered in blues, yellows, whites, and browns, unfolding in gradients and flat geometries. Enigmatic shadows stretch across walls, ceilings, and floors, evoking a Kafkaesque, multidimensional space that leaves the viewer suspended in quiet unease.

Last weeks to visit "Metafisica/Metafisiche", the major exhibition at Palazzo Reale Milano on view until June 21, 2026. Curated by Vincenzo Trione, the project brings the masters of Metaphysical art into dialogue with their international “heirs” and with the “followers” of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries with more than 400 works are on display, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, design objects, as well as architectural models and maquettes, illustrations, comics, magazines, videos and vinyl records.

From the protagonists of the historic group founded in Ferrara in 1917—Giorgio de Chirico, Alberto Savinio, Carlo Carrà, Filippo de Pisis and Giorgio Morandi—to the artists in Europe and America who absorbed the movement’s atmospheres and formal solutions, and on to contemporary echoes in the works of various authors inspired by Metaphysical poetics across the fields of art, photography, architecture, cinema, theatre, design, fashion, literature, graphic novels and music. From Mario Sironi to Felice Casorati, from René Magritte to Max Ernst, from Salvador Dalí to Andy Warhol. And further still, from Mimmo Paladino to Giulio Paolini, from Jannis Kounellis to Francesco Vezzoli, from Aldo Rossi to Gio Ponti, from Paolo Portoghesi to Frank Gehry, from Mimmo Jodice to Gabriele Basilico, from Giorgio Armani to Fendi, from Paolo Sorrentino to Tim Burton, through to David Bowie and many others besides.

Last days to visit "L'un dans l'autre" at Romero Paprocki in Paris. A winged bull, a dog with crab claws, a supervisor with a duck's head: an eccentric crowd populates Max Coulon's exhibition and confronts us. Figures both whimsical and familiar, they compose an unlikely community somewhere between a schoolyard and a train station café. The artist's work reactivates a dialogue between sculpture and architecture, drawing on an imagination blending popular culture, childhood, and archaic references. Until June 6, 2026.
