The record takes shape in what has already been left behind: catastrophe not as a closed event rather it sees it as an ongoing condition.
An inner and outer landscape exists where structures have already crumbled, memories as source audio material: samples from favorite video games, movies, electromagnetic fields recorded from daily tools. What remains doesn't ask to be restored. It sits exposed, ready to be heard rather than fixed.
Distortion, harsh frequencies, unstable forms: sound becomes material. Fragments, metallic remnants, and electrical signals keep circulating after the collapse. The landscape acts like a field once energized by forces that have now withdrawn. What’s left is open, uninhabited, still holding traces of that interaction.
There is no pull toward what came before. Destruction isn’t seen as absence but as a change in state. It’s something that flows through rather than something to resolve.
Noise is embraced, created, and managed. It grows through contact, through pressure and play. Amid the remains, something starts to reorganize. It’s not clean, not fixed, but present.
As a debut, the record doesn’t see itself as a usual beginning. It examines what follows the act, what remains of a process that has already occurred and what continues to move, despite that.

A world shaped by lands lived on at the margins: valleys where sunlight arrives late, wind-beaten plateaus, forests no longer cut because no one remembers where they end. Villages are few and far apart, connected by roads that exist more out of habit than necessity. In some places, stone breaks through the ground everywhere, as if the earth itself were trying to become mountain again; elsewhere, the soil is soft and yielding, marked by slow waters and marshes that hold onto whatever falls into them. Rivers do not merely divide territories: they separate what may be spoken from what is better left unspoken.
There are no races other than humans, no chosen peoples. Everyone is born the same, without special gifts, and learns to survive by observing those who remained before them. The sacred reveals itself in places of passage: crossroads, thresholds, bridges, the edges of fields. The occult has no temples or doctrines, but settles over time like dampness in wooden beams or mold upon stone. Some nights feel heavier than others, and certain places preserve memories that no longer belong to anyone. It is not uncommon for the wind to carry distant voices, or for the earth to return traces of footsteps long after they should have disappeared.

Inspired by the folklore and oral traditions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, a small region in northern Italy, it offers a different perspective on the beliefs that for centuries gave shape and explanation to what could not be understood within the small rural villages of a region so often forgotten.

Ghost Data exists in a realm of information that has lost its place: those datas are neither archived nor erased. Instead, they are scattered; floating between systems, memory, and deeper layers of the mind. Their location is unclear, but their impact is real and persistent.
The album unfolds like a delicate structure made from leftover fragments. These small units of sound overlap, interfere, and rearrange into unstable forms. Instead of creating coherence, these structures express absence, where loss becomes something that can generate meaning rather than just an end.

Rather than addressing disappearance as a narrative event, Ghost Data treats it as an operational state. Information comes to life not through keeping it intact but by distorting and misaligning it. What surfaces is a landscape of persistence without a clear starting point, where sound carries traces, failures, and unresolved presences.

[HIDE031] FUNA - FUNA

FUNA is an ongoing exploration of sound as a relational and living medium, where memory, desire, and ecological forces intersect. The project unfolds within what Rei defines as the “absolute after”. An open terrain left by collapse, where structures have dissolved yet their residues continue to resonate. In this space, absence is not empty, but charged, inhabited by traces, tensions, and latent possibilities.
Each work within FUNA evolves through processes akin to erosion, sedimentation, and renewal. Rather than reconstructing what has been lost, the project attends to what remains, allowing fragments to reorganize into unstable forms. Rooted in Latin American, Chilean, and Mapuche histories, FUNA engages with silenced narratives and disrupted cosmologies, translating them into sonic matter without attempting resolution.
Through granular synthesis, spectral processing, EVP techniques, and field recordings, sound is treated as a breathing, mutable, porous, and vulnerable organism. Feedback loops, glitches, and artifacts are not corrected but embraced as compositional agents, revealing fractures within both technological systems and human perception.
Listening, within FUNA, becomes an embodied encounter with persistence and decay: a slow negotiation between collapse and continuity, where sound does not represent meaning but carries it. Fragmented, unresolved, and alive.

How will HIDE Productions
platforms work from now on?

Music: H-4 | HIDE Productions no longer supports streaming platforms that are unethical towards the artists they host, fund wars and conflicts, support AI plagiarism, or are governed by
algorithms that do not reward creativity.
Our catalogue will be soon removed from every digital plafrom.
Our music releases will be available on Bandcamp, Ninaprotocol and Subvert (maybe more will be added in future).

Meta platforms: We firmly disagree with the algorithmic logic that governs social media today. We've seen them as a creative outlet in the past, but that's no longer the case. We've long since lost touch with the way these platforms work, so from now on they'll function solely as archives.
We'll only post once for each new release (album, device, font, etc.) on the release date. We won't create stories, we won't create reels, and we're not interested in participating in mechanisms that reward consistency and repetition.
Updates will be published through Bandcamp “Community” function, so follow us there.

Physical and digital products: All our products will always be available both on our h-4.digital store and on Bandcamp. Please remember that if you're interested in instant downloads of your purchases and the possibility to re-download them in the future, we recommend purchasing through our website by creating a dedicated account. On Bandcamp, shipments (including digital ones) are manually sent via email and take 24-48 hours.

We've decided to take action, despite the visibility and return on investment of over six years, because we don't like it this way.
The last two years have substantially transformed the landscape around us, and many things, as they have become, no longer represent us. Sometimes we get comfortable with the flow (we certainly did too) but now we believe it's necessary to say and do something.
We probably won't make a difference, but we can no longer stand where everything makes us feel out of place. We hope that one gesture will inspire another, and that perhaps, over time, something will regain its authenticity.
