The worldwide tour of RGB: "The Colors of the Century" by Carlos Cruz-Diez arrives today at Hangaram Museum, Seoul Arts Center curated by Yunjin Jang!

Continuing its worldwide tour, the exhibition RGB: The Colors of the Century opens at the Hangaram Museum, Korea's largest cultural complex. South Korea has a special bond with Cruz-Diez, hosting numerous exhibitions since the '80s and showcasing his monumental works, Physichromie Double Face (1988) and Spiral Chromatic Induction (2002).

Unlike many of his contemporaries, Cruz-Diez moved away from traditional painting to focus on color as perceived by the human eye. His groundbreaking work in optical art, grounded in scientific principles, provides new visual experiences and aesthetic impressions through unique optical effects.

“In these works, I used only red, green, blue, and black, plus white from the medium. The effect is like a prism, the colors of light.” - Cruz-Diez, 2014
