"Sueรฑa Ahora" il nuovo film documentario di Gabriele Licchelli, Francesco Lorusso e Andrea Settembrini realizzato con la supervisione di Gianfranco Rosi e Jean Perret, in anteprima mondiale a IDFA nella sezione Luminous.
A Cuba arriva una notte piรน profonda che mai. Il buio ingoia ogni incrocio, ogni casa, ogni essere umano. Alcuni dicono che il blackout รจ destinato a rimanere, come ogni cosa sullโisola. Nella chiesa il parroco sfoglia le pagine della Genesi. Un vecchio cantante cieco canta alla moglie una canzone che le ha scritto anni fa. Un ragazzo sfida il suo maestro in una partita di scacchi senza fine. Un pescatore si tuffa nel fiume con la sua lanterna.
Sogni, storie e desideri inconsci si mescolano con il suono della natura, che si fa sentire forte nel silenzio della tecnologia.

In Cuba, a night falls deeper than ever before. Darkness swallows every intersection, every home, every human being. Some say the blackout is here to stay, like everything else on the island. In the church, the priest flips through the pages of Genesis. An old blind singer serenades his wife with a song he wrote for her years ago. A young man challenges his mentor to a never-ending game of chess. A fisherman dives into the river with his lantern.
Dreams, stories, and unconscious desires blend with the sounds of nature, which rise powerfully in the silence of technology.
Reality fades away with the passing hours and minutes, giving way to imagination.
The film is produced by Broga Doite Film and EICTV, in association with Sentiero Film.
