Kami Gami is a puzzle game developed by Art&Craft during the Global Game Jam 2016 (Torino) and winner of the Best Game Design Award. The game is based on a traditional Japanese tale that sees objects that have reached 100 years of 'existence' developing a soul or spirit (in Japanese "tsukumogami"). If the item is treated badly by its owner, it'll develop a naughty streak, whilst if properly ta
ken care of it will be innocuous. The main character of the game, Mr Kojima, the guardian of the Hokuko shrine, has become lazy in his old age and has started neglecting the temple's furnishings. The spirits, angered by his neglect, have decided to have their fun with him and have trapped him in the shrine. The only way Mr Kojima can appease the naughty spirits is to perform the oldest ritual of all: treat them with kindness.

Kami Gami è un puzzle-game sviluppato durante la Global Game Jam di Torino da Art&Craft, vincitore del premio Miglior Game Design. Il gioco trae ispirazione da una credenza giapponese, che ritiene che un oggetto che abbia compiuto 100 anni sviluppi uno spirito proprio (in giapponese "tsukumogami"). Se l’utensile è stato gettato via senza alcun rispetto, perché ritenuto ormai inutile, oppure trattato male o rotto, diventerà uno spirito maligno in cerca di vendetta; in caso contrario, si manifesterà solo per apparizioni inoffensive. Il nostro protagonista, il signor Kojima, è il guardiano del tempio di Hokuko, ma con l'avanzare degli anni, è diventato molto pigro e ha iniziato a trascurare i suoi oggetti domestici. Di conseguenza gli spiriti hanno deciso di prendersi gioco di lui, intrappolandolo nel tempio. L'unico modo per ottenere il perdono dagli spiriti Kami è il rituale più antico del mondo...trattarli con gentilezza.
