🏆 TUCCI RUSSO Gallery is pleased to announce that Mario Airò's project, "Atlante delle risonanze", is among the winners of the Italian Council call for proposals (2026) and that it will be presented at MAMbo in Bologna next spring.

The project proposes an exhibition path in which the artist’s works are presented not according to chronological criteria, but rather through free associations and perceptual shifts that place the active experience of the audience at the center. A broad selection of works produced over the course of three decades will retrace Airò’s artistic practice by following the key trajectories that have shaped her formal and conceptual research, including experimentation with the refraction of light and lighting technologies, the creation of sound environments, reflections on the circulation of images, and intertextuality.

The work will become part of the collection of the Museo del Novecento in Milan. The project partner is Magazzino Italian Art, in collaboration with Z33 – House for Contemporary Art, Design & Architecture, Museo Madre, and PXL University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

🏆 TUCCI RUSSO GALLERY is glad to announce that Sir Tony Cragg will receive the European Culture Prize 2026. It is a privilege to have represented the artist over many years and to celebrate this important recognition of his contribution to contemporary sculpture.

"Tony Cragg is one of the most important sculptors of our time. His works uniquely combine science, nature, materials research and artistic vision. He has had a lasting impact on international sculpture and inspired generations of artists."

Reiner Schränkler, Chairman of the Board of the European Cultural Forum

The work of Tony Cragg open up new perspectives on form, movement, and space and are among the most important works of contemporary sculpture. They are represented in renowned museums, public collections, and public spaces worldwide.
The British-born artist has lived and worked in Wuppertal for many years. With the Waldfrieden Sculpture Park, which he founded, he created a unique venue for contemporary art that attracts visitors from all over the world and is now one of the most important sculpture parks in Europe. Tony Cragg has thus permanently anchored North Rhine-Westphalia on the international map of contemporary art.

The European Cultural Prize Gala is one of Europe's most prestigious cultural events and brings together international figures from the fields of art, culture, music, science, politics, and media.
The award ceremony will take place on September 4, 2026, at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The laudatory speech will be given by Felix Krämer, Director General and Artistic Director of the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf.

Thomas Schütte UNTITLED (coffins) 1992 – 2026 (new display)

Every morning I wake up and hear the news from around the world; then the day goes on and I enter my own world.
Art welcomes me but does not cancel, and everything comes into dialogue, in such a way as to make me reflect on meaning and significance, on the things created over time. Thomas Schütte’s 1992 exhibition, Untitled (coffins), is art; it is what shows us that a LOFTY ideal is still possible.
I think of the early nineties, the Gulf War, the war in Yugoslavia, and I think of today…
Hence the decision to present Untitled (coffins) once more, in a different arrangement, in agreement with Thomas.
For those who haven’t seen it, for those who wish to see it again.
