Suspended between night and day, Etna Morning is Opera Festival’s signature dawn experience, when the first light reveals the ancient contours of Mount Etna. In this rare and intimate setting, Nguyen Zen My — the project of Nguyễn Zen Mỹ, an Italo-Vietnamese artist based in Brussels — enters into a quiet dialogue with the volcano: a meeting of voice, sound and the mountain’s enduring presence.
The journey continues with a farmer’s breakfast curated by Cucina Romantica in collaboration with I vigneri di salvofoti by a tasting of their wines, celebrating flavours, gestures and traditions deeply rooted in the Sicilian landscape.
Through music, food and the awakening of nature, Etna Morning becomes a poetic encounter with the mountain: a shared ritual of listening, inhabiting the moment, as a new day slowly unfolds beneath the volcano’s timeless gaze.
