A secret corner of my city.
Santa Maria della Scala stands right in front of Siena’s cathedral. For almost a thousand years it was a hospital, welcoming pilgrims, the sick and abandoned children. As a kid I still saw it working: the corridors, the doctors, the everyday life inside those frescoed walls.
Today it’s a museum, and one of the most extraordinary places I know. Every room carries centuries of stories.
Getting to live it again through Kacy & Daniel was a privilege. Thank you both for trusting me and for giving me the chance to create something in a place that means so much to me. ❤️

Two long table in the Tuscan hills, a castle behind us, and the light doing exactly what it does here in late summer.
We started in the quiet: the bride laughing under her veil in a room of terracotta and old beams, the groom’s hands folded, the watch, the waiting. Then the reception opened up onto the valley — blue toile linens, rattan chargers, peaches and grapes scattered between bud vases of dahlias and Queen Anne’s lace, a single taper burning in every hurricane glass. Speeches in sunglasses. Ch*****ne as the sun dropped behind the hills.
And then that last half hour, when we slipped away down the cypress avenue and let the light finish the story.
This is what a wedding in Tuscany feels like when nothing is forced. No staged moments, just two people and a place that knows how to hold them.

Natasha & Josef said “I do” in the hills of Umbria, surrounded by the people who know them best, and a sky that couldn’t quite decide whether to rain or shine. It didn’t matter.
Two airline captains, grounded for one perfect day. Vows read into a microphone with steady hands and full hearts. A walk down the aisle that ended in pure joy. A sunset that showed up right on time for the portraits, and a party that went until the shoes came off.

Lucca in early spring feels different.
The light arrives soft and golden through the stone archways of Villa Lenka, quiet but certain.

This wedding wasn’t just a single day ; it was a story unfolding slowly. A welcome dinner where strangers became family, long conversations over shared plates, glasses never fully empty, and the kind of moments that matter precisely because they’re unplanned.

By the wedding day, everything felt lighter. More honest. No performance left, just two people fully present with each other.

That’s what I love about multi-day weddings in Tuscany: they give the story space to breathe. And somewhere between the warm evening air, the villa walls, and the early spring light, something real always happens.

This is why I keep coming back to Tuscany. Not only for the scenery, but for what it does to people inside it.

There are sessions that remind you exactly why you do this.
Walking through Florence with Morgan & Aaron, from the narrow streets of the city center all the way up to San Miniato al Monte, felt less like a photoshoot and more like a conversation. The kind where nobody needs to fill the silence, because everything is already being said.

April light in Florence is something I’ll never stop being grateful for. By the time we reached San Miniato, the sun was sitting just behind the city, and for a moment the whole of Florence turned gold beneath us. That kind of light doesn’t ask you to pose. It just asks you to feel.
And these two, they felt everything.

What moves me most isn’t the images we made that afternoon. It’s knowing this was just the beginning. Next year I’ll be with them again, for the day that matters most. And if an engagement session already feels like this, I can only imagine what their wedding will carry.
I genuinely cannot wait.
