Art Aia - Creatives \ In \ Residence is interested in co-operation with artists communities and creative residencies all over the world. The specific character of a residence in the country side is one particular kind of development of the creative process. Art Aia is looking for partners to build interesting and strong programs for artists who want to stay in a rural residency where the atmospher

e of an isolated community challenges them to go into new experiences related to the individual vision and performing art production.The arts play an important role in the initiatives contributed to personal healing, re-building communities and Art Aia is playing a critical role in supporting artists to successfully conceiving, planning and running their projects. Creatives \ In \ Residence is an open art project. Artists, architects, designers, building companies but also people who have brilliant ideas are invited to send their information about creative projects , to be develop in the several spaces of the art center . The spaces will be used by artists staying at Art Aia during creative residencies and also by summer guests attending the events .

Creating multi-purpose learning and performing centre via the reuse of existing abandoned buildings in a rural area

The main goal of the project is to create a multi-purpose learning and performance space via the reuse of existing abandoned buildings and spaces inside the farm ( Art Aia -Creatives\in\Residence) and to assist visiting partners in the creation of a workshop\performance within the space .The visiting partner is free to decide the text and the theatre techniques to be used. After a desk and field research on the the abandoned structure , during a residency program , a workshop\performance will be prepared by the visiting partner based on the result of the research. The purpose is to revitalize the anthropogenic element of the building/ space . Together with the creation of the Workshop\Performance there will be the preparation of the abandoned building/ Space during wich the hosting partner involves volunteers/ local authorities/ sponsors, in order to prepare the structure for the event . The participants of the performance will be actors/ learners from 2 partners – the hosting one and the one that directs it. The visiting partner would also have to be willing to host our group and collaborate in the creation of a Workshop\Performace in an abandoned structure, i.e. abandoned factories, hospitals, monasteries, churches, worthy buildings, quarries, farms etc.,of their city/ town in order to foster cultural exchange and to implement activities and their possible wishes and ideas for future plans in the specific abandoned building/ place.
