🇬🇧 𝐀𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬 𝐗 𝐋𝐚𝐛 has come to an end, a research-driven artistic process led by 𝗗𝗲𝗷𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘃𝘀𝗸𝗶 from 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗽𝗷𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, offering a meaningful space for exchange, practice and the development of contemporary movement language.

Alongside the workshop, the audition held by 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗽𝗷𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 for 𝐆𝐨𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐯 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 took place as part of the 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, creating a concrete moment of orientation and opportunity for emerging dancers.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to 𝗗𝗲𝗷𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘃𝘀𝗸𝗶 and 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗸𝗶𝗻, director of 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗽𝗷𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, for welcoming and supporting this project and for the depth of the artistic exchange.

The creative process of the new choreography by 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗸𝗶𝗻 for 𝐄𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 has also been completed. The work will soon enter its presentation and sharing phase..

❗️Audition Contemporary Dance Education Skopje Dance Theater presso Goce Delchev University di Stip, Macedonia del Nord.

Risima Risimkin, PhD is an internationally renowned Macedonian choreographer who in 2025 celebrates 45 years of artistic activity.
She has been awarded the Order of Knight of the Arts and Letters of France, was named European Person of the Year 2024, and in 2025 received the “Gorgi Makedonski” Award for her avant-garde contribution to contemporary dance.

Founder of the Contemporary Dance Education university program at Goce Delchev University in Štip, Risimkin teaches choreography and creation at academies and universities worldwide, including Anton Bruckner University (Linz), Codarts University, Beijing Dance Academy, Minzhou University, Hangzhou Conservatory of Music, Off-Broadway (New York), the Faculty of Music and Dance in Bratislava, and AEMAD in Ljubljana.

She is the founder of Skopje Dance Theater (2001) and the international festival Dance Fest Skopje (2005), and has presented her works in theatres and festivals across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the United States.
Critics have described her creations as “a new era for Macedonian choreographic art,” acclaiming her as the “Macedonian Pina Bausch.”

❗️Contemporary Dance Workshop with Dejan Bitrovski.

Dejan Bitrovski is a contemporary artist, dancer, and choreographer with a background in hip-hop and urban dance styles. He completed his training at the Academy of Dance in Skopje under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Risima Risimkin. From 2014 to the present, he has been a member of Skopje Dance Theater.
In recent years, he has also been working at Goce Delchev University in Štip.

He has collaborated with numerous international choreographers, including Risima Risimkin, Joan van der Mast, Antonello Tudisco, Chao Ke, Anton Rudakov, Simon Kuban, and Yotam Peled.
He has taken part in many international festivals, such as Open Stage in The Hague and Rotterdam; the SHARE International Festival in Bratislava; the Silk Road Festival in Guangzhou; the Holland Dance Festival in The Hague; and the Battery Dance Festival in New York, USA.

In 2019, he was invited as a teacher and choreographer to the China–CIEC Summer Dance Camp, where he created the short work Streaming together with Martina Tomić.
From 2010 to 2016, he was part of the urban dance studio Beatrix Crew as one of its main choreographers and teachers. With the company, he participated in numerous competitions in North Macedonia and across Europe, becoming national champions for many years in the Republic of Macedonia and achieving second place at the ESDU World Championships – Final Masters.

‼️Dejan Bitrovski is a contemporary artist, dancer, and choreographer with a background in hip-hop and urban dance styles. He completed his dance training at the Dance Academy in Skopje under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Risima Risimkin. He has been part of the Skopje Dance Theater from 2014 to the present. A few years ago, he also began working at the Goce Delchev University Štip.
In the following two years, he created several works produced by the Skopje Dance Theater, which were presented at Skopje Dance Fest 2020/2021. “GodSpeed” and “Devils Hole” were created as reflections of societal perceptions during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
He incorporated short creative films by cinematographer Vladislav Gavrilovski, depicting Skopje.
He has worked with many international choreographers, including Risima Risimkin, Joan van der Mast, Antonello Tudisco, Chao Ke, Anton Rudakov, Simon Kuban and Yotam Peled.
He has participated in numerous festivals, including: Open Stage in The Hague and Rotterdam; the International Festival SHARE in Bratislava; Silk Road Festival in Guangzhou; Holland Dance Festival in The Hague; Battery Dance Festival in New York, USA.
He was invited as a professor and choreographer at the China-CIEC Summer Dance Camp 2019, where he created a short piece with Martina Tomić, titled “Streaming.”
From 2010 to 2016, he was part of the urban dance studio Beatrix Crew as one of its leading choreographers and instructors. They participated in many competitions in North Macedonia and across Europe, becoming long-time national champions in the Republic of Macedonia, as well as winning 2nd place at the ESDU World Championship – Final Masters.
