Good things take time.
Sequoia trees, as used by Aron Demetz in his sculptures, can grow up to 3,000 years.
These trees may have lived through the rise and fall of empires and civilizations.
When Demetz takes these trees, either dead already or dying from disease, he does not just use the wood to shape into his narrative but allows the history of the plant to tell its own story.
