“La rivolta dei gadget” by Rebecca Zen
Acrylic and oil on canvas, 2024, 170 × 210 cm

A wide, cinematic field in yellow and ochre holds a swarm of small figures and animal forms, layered across the surface like a moving crowd. Dark bodies push forward from the foreground, while the background dissolves into marks, traces, and scattered details—half landscape, half stage. Acrylic and oil create shifts in density: opaque passages, glazed light, and quick, sketch-like accents that keep the scene in motion. The painting reads as a restless tableau—busy, humorous, and slightly uncanny.

“Anticlimax” by Jingyan Ding
Oil on canvas, 140 × 170 cm

Ding describes the cycle of yellow as a joyful melody—dancing with excitement, symbolising happiness and a warm, carefree force. Yet this seemingly reliable presence carries impermanence: it can be replaced by darkness and confusion at any moment. In Anticlimax, darkness arrives silently, opening an abyss of bewilderment and revealing the coexistence of joy and confusion—light as celebration, and light as something that can vanish.

“Discorso in un All You Can Eat.” by Francesco Onda
Oil on canvas, 2025, 50 × 60 cm

“A banal lunch where the conversations deepen.” The scene is close-up, almost compressed: bodies near each other, partial faces, gestures held mid‑moment. Warm, dark tones build a dense interior, while figures surface only in fragments—as if what matters is not description, but the intensity of what is being said.

The painting holds that shift in register, when the everyday suddenly becomes charged.

“Water lillies” by Candy Bassas
Oil on canvas, 2025, 70 × 100 cm

A body folds inward over a surface that reads as both water and fabric: ripples become drapery, and drapery becomes current. The palette moves between deep greens and blues, warmed by gold highlights that sweep across the scene like reflected light. At the bottom edge, water lilies punctuate the flow while soft pinks and pale greens anchors the composition.

The painting holds a tension between weight and drift: a figure suspended in a field of movement.

“Stigmata I” by Nicola Bindoni
Oil on canvas, 2024, 120 × 90 cm

Bindoni’s artistic research develops through series that tell short stories rooted in the physical and psychological experiences of his subjects. In Stigmata I, lighting plays a fundamental role: light and shadow sharpen the psychological atmosphere, adding mystery and ambiguity to the scene.

The figure appears mute and solitary, with the gaze denied—cut off from the image—so identity is withheld. This lack of direct address opens a different kind of relationship: the viewer is invited to recognise themselves, even if only partially.

“Notturno” by Andrea Paolo Colombo
Oil on canvas, 90 × 60 cm

A nocturnal scene unfolds under a pale moon: a bat in flight, a small dog curled at centre, and two owl-like figures emerging from the dark. The palette stays cool and restrained—deep blacks, smoky blues, and milky whites—so the forms appear softly lit, almost floating.

With its sparse setting and frontal arrangement, the painting reads like a quiet stage: attentive, slightly uncanny, and held together by the moon’s steady glow.

“The Icebound Swan” by Zhenlin Zhang
Oil on linen, 80 × 60 cm

“From a single speck of dust is born a pearl that clears all dust—dust that has never truly belonged to this world. And from a single seed blooms a dazzling flower, never once imagining it could face the world in any other light.” In The Icebound Swan, soft violets and cold blues build a quiet, suspended field—where touch, weight, and brightness appear as if emerging from within the surface.

“UNTITLED 24 #02” by Xintong Gao
Oil on canvas, 2024, 120 × 100 cm

Gao’s paintings unfold through abstract, fluid lines and vibrant colour—soft yet bright light and shadow that interweave and collide. Through brushwork, he aims to capture the dynamics of qi (a flowing air akin to spiritual energy) in nature, creating an intangible yet palpable charge. The image holds an ambiguity: is it a space filled with moving air, or the movement of air shaping space itself?

This persistent pursuit of “flow” produces a non-static visual experience—guiding the viewer toward a vivid, intangible state of perception where the physical and the spiritual remain inseparable.

They walked backwards into oceans of frozen hummings II by Noah Kohlbrenner
Oil on canvas, 2025, 90 × 70 cm

These works are conceived as a gentle gesture to trace time: a search for remnants that awaken the memory of what might have once seemed forgotten.

Inspired by ancient stories from the Valais Alps, Kohlbrenner reflects on our relationship with the outer world, on separation, and on an unusual comparison between contemporary fashion, glaciers, and their entities.

In the painting, a cool, glacial palette and softened contours hold the figure in a suspended state—half presence, half trace—like something returning through layers of distance and time.

“The Reflection of Melancholy” by Paris Giachoustidis
Oil on canvas, 200 × 165 cm

Inspired by Lars von Trier’s Melancholia and by Homer’s Odyssey, Giachoustidis’ new series explores “migration in space” as a journey through time and distance.

A solitary figure faces an enormous moon in a darkened atmosphere—no longer part of the background, but an individual navigating the scene. The moon’s reflection becomes a quiet engine of light: like the sun illuminating the moon, it turns darkness into visibility, holding the image as a symbol of hope.
