“A sharp bite from behind that be the chilling wind carried by winter’s screams and cries.
I look beyond the shadow forest in search of spring and away from December spirits that sing and shriek of all things decayed…
Please, I beg. Make the cold and ice remote, far afield.
Pervade the way for light and warmth.
For summer must come again.
It must.”

Let me tell you: I absolutely hate winter with a passion and can’t help but sometimes feel a bit baffled by those who love this season. I have dinosaur skin and chapped lips from the cold, I require 10 more minutes in the morning to put on all the necessary layers of clothing to feel warm and transform myself into an oversized onion, and with the sun setting early I also become an energy-deprived, sad, sleepy potato - Who could possibly love this season??? So this digital painting here was actually made out of pure spite and disdain for winter (sorry if you like this season). While making this I also thought of improvising with my voice and composing a song (and animation) that tries to emulate the ominous cold of winter and the ice wind that crawls under your skin or surprises you from behind - hope it sounds bearable, haha. Music is something I like to do but have less confidence in than with art: I have really little experience in the field (I cannot sight read to save my life). With art I feel open and flexible to share it but with music it’s not the same. I’ve always liked to play around with sound but it’s always been chaotic improvisation and with no theory. Regardless, I keep having ideas that pester me to combine the two together so I’ll keep creating, keep combining, and see where this goes. If it's p**p, then fine, it’s p**p :,D
