An interesting experience is about to finish for two of us.
Let us tell you a bit more about it.
From the 2nd to the 9th of May, two of our founding members (Barbara Sbrocca and Luna Del Pizzo) are joining the Transnational Eco-Residential Training called ACKnowledge, organized by BestUP APS and funded by Erasmus+ programme. They have been diving into what it really means to build communities rooted in care, balance, and shared responsibility. 🌱
Together with the facilitators of the ACKnowledge Project, all us participants (26 people from 5 different countries) explored the core values of ancient indigenous and matriarchal cultures—care, nourishment, reciprocity, consent, ecological vision-not just as concepts, but as living practices to embody in our daily interactions.
On top of the theory and the many differnet approaches to the various values of the so-called matriarcal cultures, we have also put them in practice.
Every day, here in the beautiful Ostello in Magliano Sabina, we are taking turns cooking for the whole group, caring for shared spaces, and offering activities for the community. These rotating roles are part of the learning-an invitation to experience cooperation, responsibility, and mutual support in practice.
At the same time, national groups (from Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Germany) have started working on the design of their local dissemination events-initiatives that will bring these learnings back home and activate change within their own communities.
The Italian team is working of a FESTA DEL DONO to be implemented in Magliano Sabina this coming summer, something we hope it will become an annual event.
In a residency like this, everything is condensed and very intense, and already so much has unfolded. We only have two days left and already some good friendships have formed! 💫
Let's hope to be able to organize a residence like this ourselves very soon, on the values we deeply care about.
