The 1st International N**E Frankenstein Photography Festival 2026 was born from a deep passion for photography and from the belief that artistic n**e photography is currently experiencing a renaissance, opening new spaces for dialogue, reflection, and expressive freedom.

The Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia – Adams (C.S.F. Adams) is a partner of this festival, which will take place in Poland in the city of Frankenstein (Ząbkowice Śląskie) from August 8 to September 4, 2026.

Within this event, we will organize a group photographic exhibition for those who have between 3 and 6 images to submit and be included in the collective show. For projects with a larger number of images, participants may apply directly through the festival open call: https://aktfff.pl/bramka-open-call-2026/

About the festival
The 1st International N**E Photography Festival Frankenstein 2026 is a new venture born from a passion for photography and a deep conviction that the issue of the n**e form in photography is currently experiencing a renaissance.

Despite a certain evolution in the field of n**e photography, we can see a return, or even frequent recreations in the traditional way of this subject, whether in the form of so-called analog or digital photography.

It turns out that the subject of the body used in the composition of a painting is an inexhaustible one. Thanks to the conviction of artists dealing with this topic, we can experience the conviction that the body is not perceived as an object but, despite certain doubts, is always a subject.

It is an important element in the composition of themes. Themes that are often conveyed through n**e photography, often as a manifesto against something, such as social exclusion, violence, xenophobia, addiction, but also themes that highlight the beauty created by nature, where the human body fits perfectly into this natural composition, perfectly entering into a symbiosis of light and shadow....

DOVE IL CIELO INCONTRA LA TERRA - II EDIZIONE

Un viaggio che ritorna, ancora e ancora. Un luogo che non smette di chiamarci, perché ci sono troppe storie da raccontare, troppi dettagli da riscoprire, troppe emozioni da vivere di nuovo. Questo è il racconto fotografico del nostro secondo viaggio nella valle di Katmandu: un ritorno che non è mai solo un ritorno, ma ogni volta una nuova scoperta. Ogni volta che vado via mi volto e ti saluto, dicendoti: “ciao, questa è l’ultima volta che vengo qui”. Ma poi ci ripenso… e dentro di me so già che tornerò ancora. Let's meet the photographers who have interpreted the theme

MOVEMENT
Photography is a medium intrinsically linked to the immobility of the image, and cannot convey the illusion of movement in the same way as cinema, video or animation. Yet this apparent limitation has never held back photographers, who have always been fascinated by the possibility of capturing the passage of time through a single frame.
Instead of freezing the moment, many artists choose to evoke the power of movement, to represent its energy, its trace, its tension. Movement thus becomes a territory for experimentation: a technical and poetic challenge which, when confronted with the limitations of the photographic medium, generates some of the most surprising and creative images in contemporary photography.

Siamo lieti di annunciare la selezione ufficiale delle fotografie vincitrici del contest Motion, parte della XIX call del Centro Sperimentale di Fotografia Adams, in collaborazione con Kromart Gallery e PH21 Gallery.
La mostra è a cura di Luisa Briganti e Zsolt Batori.

La mostra si svolgerà presso la Ph21 Gallery della sede di Budapest

I selezionati hanno interpretato il tema
MOVIMENTO
La fotografia è un mezzo intrinsecamente legato all’immobilità dell’immagine, e non può restituire l’illusione del movimento come cinema, video o animazione. Eppure, questa apparente limitazione non ha mai frenato la ricerca dei fotografi, da sempre affascinati dalla possibilità di catturare lo scorrere del tempo attraverso un singolo fotogramma.

Invece di congelare l’attimo, molti artisti scelgono di evocare la forza del movimento, di rappresentarne l’energia, la traccia, la tensione. Il movimento diventa così un territorio di sperimentazione: una sfida tecnica e poetica che, nel confronto con i limiti del mezzo fotografico, genera alcune tra le immagini più sorprendenti e creative dei diversi generi fotografici contemporanei.
