A return to old reliable… people sitting on benches.

This was taken in the courtyard to the rear of Lincoln Cathedral and the couple sit in the shadow of a statue of Victorian-era poet Alfred Tennyson, who you may know from such bangers as “Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.”

I read once that when you recall something you aren’t remembering the thing itself, you’re remembering the last time you remembered it. Over time I’ve become worried that memories of people I’ve lost have had all the edges have been sanded off and they’re actually a bad photocopy with all the details erased. I suppose there’s no real way of knowing whether that’s true or not.
