He’s just 35 years old, but he already has an impressive career: he was the first Italian singer to win the MTV Europe Music Award for Best European Act (2010), to perform at the Billboard Film & TV Music Conference in Los Angeles and to be nominated for Worldwide Act Award (2013).
It all started in 2009, when Marco left his , the beautiful town near Rome, famous, among many things, for his historical Carnival, and he won the third season of the Italy.
And now the adventure of awaits you. See you in Liverpool Marco, we are proud of you.

For just a few more days, will host the exhibition «Rome, City of the Jubilee. Transformations and evolutions of a city in the Holy Years», which illustrates the birth and evolution of the Jubilee Year in its religious and social aspects and its close connection with the city of Rome. I had the honour of contributing to this event by studying the magnificent works of art in the Carafa Jacobini collection, for which I edited the relevant catalogue entries.

John Paul I, the "Smiling Pope", becomes "blessed".
Pope Francis today proclaimed Pope Albino Luciani "blessed": elected on August 26, 1978, he died at the age of 65, after only 33 days of pontificate.
Twenty-five thousand people attended today's ceremony in St. Peter's Square, despite persistent rain. Candela Giarda, the young Argentine woman from Paraná, who was dying in 2011 from a very serious encephalitis, could not be present. A priest told her mother to pray to John Paul I, and the next day the girl's health improved
Albino Luciani was a kind and loving pope: as Pope Francis said: «With his smile, Pope Luciani managed to convey the goodness of the Lord. It is beautiful a Church with a cheerful and smiling face, that never closes its doors, that does not harden hearts, that does not complain or harbour resentments, that is not angry or impatient, that does not appear harsh or suffer by nostalgia for the past».
He was the last Italian pope, until now, and his pontificate was one of the shortest in history. According to the official version, his death was due to a heart attack, but it was the subject of numerous theories, and remains one of the "mysteries" of the Vatican.

On January 15, 2022, at around 9.00 pm, weather stations throughout Italy detected the pressure wave caused by the explosion of the Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha'apa. volcano.
Even the Colosseum weather station also recorded the peak barometric pressure caused by the eruption that occurred a few hours earlier in the South Pacific.

🌋 Anche la stazione meteo del Colosseo ha registrato il picco di pressione barometrica causata dall’esplosione del vulcano Hunga- -Hunga-Ha'apa.

In tutta Italia, alle ore 21.00 circa del 15 Gennaio 2022, i barometri hanno rilevato l'onda di pressione dell'eruzione avvenuta qualche ora prima nel Sud Pacifico.
Come si può notare dalla immagine che vi proponiamo, l'effetto dell'onda d'urto è stato registrato anche dai sistemi di monitoraggio e dalla strumentazione diagnostica a terra che costituiscono la dotazione del laboratorio del nostro Ufficio Monitoraggio e Manutenzione Programmata.
È molto interessante notare come dati e informazioni raccolti per contribuire alla tutela del patrimonio culturale possano risultare utili a tutta la comunità scientifica, in maniera forse inaspettata.

Today at noon, perfectly on time, Rome has welcomed 2022 with the traditional jump into the Tiber performed by Maurizio Palmulli, known as Mister OK, who has marked, for the 33rd consecutive year, the beginning of the new year by diving into the Roman river from the Cavour bridge. This tradition started 76 years ago with the Belgian Ricky de Sonay, called Mister Ok for the affirmative gesture towards the people.

Rome woke up wounded: during the night a fire engulfed the Ponte dell'Industria, better known as the Ponte di Ferro (Iron Bridge), inaugurated on September 24, 1863; a side part fell down, but fortunately nobody was injured and the central structure survived.

Today, 2nd June, is an Italian National Day, commemorating the birth of the Republic. The date was chosen because the institutional referendum was held on 2nd June 1946 -so exactly 75 years ago!- when Italian people decided on the form of government.
The official celebrations take place in Rome, where the President of the Republic pays homage to the Unknown Soldier, buried in the Altare della Patria just 100 years ago, a symbol of all the soldiers who died in the war.
Moreover, there is a military parade, that was not held this year due to the pandemic: however, there has been the amazing show of , the Italian Air Force's aerobatic flying squadron.
Even the cannon on Hill, which fires a blank shot every day at noon, has paid tribute to this important celebration (find here my today’s video, enjoy!)

Oggi, , è Festa nazionale in Italia. È stata scelta questa data per commemorare la nascita della , dal momento che il 2 giugno 1946 - quindi esattamente 75 anni fa! - si è tenuto il referendum a suffraggio universale con cui gli italiani hanno scelto la forma di governo del loro paese.
Le celebrazioni ufficiali si svolgono a Roma, dove il cerimoniale prevede che il Presidente della Repubblica renda omaggio al Milite Ignoto, simbolo di tutti i soldati italiani morti in guerra, sepolto presso l'Altare della Patria proprio 100 anni fa.
Neanche quest'anno si è tenuta la parata militare delle forze armate, a causa della pandemia: tuttavia, non è mancato il magnifico spettacolo delle Frecce Tricolori.
Anche il cannone del , che ogni mezzogiorno spara un colpo a salve, ha reso omaggio a questa importante celebrazione (trovate di seguito il mio video, buon divertimento!)

I-XVIII 4098A-, a true symbol of Henry VIII's stubborn will: it is a letter-supplication, dated 13th July 1530, addressed to and sent by the English Lords, asking for the annulment of the marriage between Henry VIII and . It is a large parchment, signed by eighty-three peers of the Kingdom, to which some of them have attached their seals.

🇮🇹 Il 1 giugno del 1533 è incoronata Regina d’Inghilterra, al fianco di Enrico VIII. Siamo al culmine della “Grande questione”, la ricerca frenetica di un erede da parte del re inglese.
Che legame ha tutto ciò con Roma?
L’Archivio Segreto conserva un atto ufficiale -A.A., Arm. I-XVIII 4098A-, concreta dimostrazione della volontà ferrea e caparbia di : è una lettera-supplica datata 13 Luglio 1530, destinata a e inviata dai Lord inglesi allo scopo di convincere il papa ad annullare il matrimonio tra Enrico e Caterina d’Aragona. È costituita da una grande pergamena firmata da ottantatré notabili del Regno, a cui alcuni di loro hanno allegato i propri sigilli.
Il netto rifiuto del Papa porterà allo Scisma Anglicano.
