Dal 27 giugno all’11 luglio 2026 torna a Pietrasanta il DAP Festival – Danza in Arte a Pietrasanta, giunto alla sua X edizione.

Il festival propone un ricco programma dedicato alla danza contemporanea internazionale, con compagnie, coreografi e artisti provenienti da tutto il mondo, in dialogo con alcuni dei luoghi più suggestivi della città: il Museo Igor Mitoraj, il Chiostro di San Francesco, il Chiostro di Sant’Agostino e il Grande Palcoscenico della Versiliana.

Tra gli appuntamenti in programma: gala internazionali, nuove creazioni, spettacoli inclusivi, produzioni site-specific e incontri tra linguaggi artistici differenti, offrendo uno sguardo privilegiato sulle più recenti tendenze della scena coreutica contemporanea.

DAP Festival welcomes the extraordinary Afro-Italian choreographer and performer Nnamdi Nwagwu as a special guest with:

SIR. EMOTIONAL

Choreography and interpretation by Nnamdi Nwagwu

A single body enters the space, exposed and unprotected.
Everything is collapsing, yet it continues to fight to remain upright.

Sir. Emotional is a raw and visceral encounter with pain: a broken heart caught between what it feels and what the world demands it conceal. There is no distance between performer and audience. The work breaks through the gaze and draws us into its vortex.

Trained at Professione Danza Parma and Codarts University of the Arts, with further studies at Alvin Ailey and Nederlands Dans Theater, Nnamdi Nwagwu is one of the most compelling voices of a new choreographic generation. His rapidly growing international career includes collaborations and creations for institutions such as the Stuttgart Ballet, the National Ballet of Canada, the Royal Ballet School, the Paris Opera Ballet School, and the Junior Company of Dutch National Ballet.

His artistic universe will return to the DAP Festival stage on July 9.

Discover the first of three female choreographic visions.

At DAP Festival, COB Compagnia Opus Ballet brings an unexpected Casanova to the stage: not merely the legendary seducer, but a man caught between desire, vulnerability, and the ambiguity of human encounters.

The first chapter we unveil is 1749, choreographed by Erika Silgoner.

At the age of twenty-four, Giacomo Casanova suddenly finds himself captivated by an unfamiliar feeling: a profound and unexpected love, powerful enough to shake his deepest certainties.

From this moment of emotional disorientation emerges a choreography suspended between impulse and fragility, attraction and uncertainty. Through a contemporary lens, 1749 explores the subtle dynamics of seduction and raises a timeless question: who is truly seducing, and who is ultimately being seduced?

For DAP Festival, it is essential to create space for female voices to be heard and for women’s artistic visions to take centre stage. Casanova. Variazioni sul desiderio brings together the perspectives of three women choreographers under the artistic direction of Rosanna Brocanello.

A special opportunity to explore the repertory of Compagnia Virgilio Sieni with Maurizio Giunti, performer and assistant choreographer of the company since 2014.

During the workshop, participants will explore the care of gesture, spatial awareness, and the relational dynamics that shape the company’s work, gaining practical tools to inhabit movement with sensitivity, presence, and technical precision..Sieni has allowed him to engage deeply with the choreographer’s distinctive movement language and poetic vision.

An American artist in Pietrasanta — at full power.
Dancer, choreographer, performer, and creator, Mikaela Kelly joins the X Edition of DAP Festival for a unique artistic experience between stage, teaching, and cinematic exploration under visionary composer Alexander McKenzie Kammerballetten DK.
On July 4, she will perform and present her choreography at the Chiostro di Sant’Agostino as part of the international evening with Kammerballetten, bringing her powerful presence into one of Pietrasanta’s most iconic spaces.
And beyond the stage, Mikaela will explore the breathtaking Cava delle Cervaiole at , where dance, marble, and landscape will meet in a documentary project with Nordisk TV with
