JUDGE & FEATURED ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT for LA DIGITAL DOLCE VITA 🍋

From architecture to VFX, .jpg knows a thing or two about building worlds.

Born in Ukraine and now based in Warsaw, Iryna is an Art Director and 3D Generalist with more than 8 years of experience in the industry.

Her journey started in architecture before moving into visualization and post-production, leading her to Televisor Studio, where she works on VFX for commercials, music videos and feature films.

And honestly, we love a good career plot twist.

From designing spaces to creating entire visual realities, Iryna brings a mix of technical knowledge, artistic direction and a sharp eye for storytelling to everything she does.
For La Digital Dolce Vita, she’ll be bringing that experience to the other side of the table, joining our jury and helping us select the artists whose work will become part of the exhibition.

We’re very happy to have her with us in Sorrento. 🍋

Some thoughts about digital art, AI and our open call🫶🏼

What exactly are we looking for with LA DIGITAL DOLCE VITA? 🍋

For the first phase, we’re looking for motion-based digital artworks, from animation and motion graphics to stop motion and any other form of moving image.

The theme is La Dolce Vita. You can take it literally, reinterpret it, challenge it, or simply show us what La Dolce Vita means to you. There are no limits to your interpretation, but the work must be created specifically for this Open Call and connected to the theme.

A few important things to keep in mind:
📱 9:16 vertical format
✨ Minimum 4K resolution
⏱️ Maximum 60 seconds
🆕 Original work created for the Open Call
📝 Title + artwork description required

The selected works will become part of La Digital Dolce Vita, our digital art exhibition in Sorrento, presented in collaboration with the city and hosted in a real museum setting.

And this is not just about making something that looks good. 10 judges will review the submissions and select the works they feel best capture the spirit of the theme.

JUDGE & FEATURED ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT for LA DIGITAL DOLCE VITA 🍋
a.s.s.i.m.o.c.o.l.o.n.n.a is an Italian digital artist who likes to find the strange, surreal and unexpected hiding inside the everyday.

Working across photography, CGI and moving images, Massimo builds visual worlds where architecture, nature and ordinary objects stop behaving quite the way we expect them to.
A building can become a landscape. A familiar object can turn into something completely new. And reality? Well, it’s definitely open to interpretation.

His work sits somewhere between the real and the imagined, blending different techniques to create images that feel familiar at first glance, and then make you look twice.

For La Digital Dolce Vita, Massimo will be joining us as both a Featured Artist and a Judge, helping us discover the artists who will bring their own interpretations of digital art to Sorrento.

We can’t wait to see what kind of reality you create. 🍋

🍋 WHAT DOES LA DOLCE VITA MEAN TO YOU?

It isn’t necessarily about slowing down, taking it easy, or simply enjoying the good life.

For , it’s about something much more personal: finding joy in the things that spark his curiosity and make him want to create.

It looks more like second-hand shops, forgotten computers, old printers, fax machines, and software from 1989. 📠💾

For him, there’s something deeply satisfying about bringing discarded technology back to life and turning it into something creative, finding beauty in the things everyone else has left behind.

La Dolce Vita isn’t always about escaping from work.
Sometimes, it’s about finding joy in the things you love creating. ✨

JUDGE & FEATURED ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT for LA DIGITAL DOLCE VITA 🍋

What happens when 30 years of digital culture collide with the technology of today?
knows the answer.

A UK-based digital artist, Eugene has spent three decades moving between film, design, motion and computer graphics. Before joining Pixar, he founded Rockstar, a creative studio behind tour visuals, music videos and digital chaos for artists including Madonna, The Prodigy, Vivienne Westwood, Sleigh Bells and HIM.

His relationship with The Prodigy goes back more than 20 years, and his collaboration with Maxim continues to this day, with their work now exhibited in galleries around the world.

But Eugene’s story isn’t only about looking forward.

Through his personal project, SCANNR, he dives back into the experimental digital culture of the ’90s, rediscovering forgotten software, analogue technology, handcrafted typography, faxing, scanning and physical printing, and bringing them into conversation with contemporary creative technology.
It’s a beautiful collision of past, present and future.

No obsession with perfection.
No default settings.
No single direction forward.
Just experimentation, curiosity and the freedom to see what happens when you ignore the rules.

And that’s exactly the kind of creative spirit we want to bring to La Digital Dolce Vita.

Eugene will join us not only as one of our Featured Artists, but also as a Judge, helping us select the 10 artists whose work will become part of the exhibition in Sorrento.

JUDGE & FEATURED ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT for LA DIGITAL DOLCE VITA 🍋

Some people create digital art. prefers to vandalize reality.

Founder and Super Creative Director of Hamburg-based studio ALT/SHIFT, Patrick has spent the last 15 years making architecture, cars and everyday objects look a little more interesting, and sometimes completely absurd.

His personal work is where things get even more fun: pink balaclavas, Vespas, Fiat Multiplas, high-speed trains and everyday scenes transformed through CGI, Photoshop and AI. Millions of views later, it’s clear that Patrick has a particular talent for turning the familiar into something unexpected.

But there’s much more behind the pink balaclava. From hiding collectible Boonees around Hamburg to co-creating the talk show format Und&Und and building Drobble, Patrick is constantly exploring new ways to mix creativity, technology and play.

His creative philosophy is simple: stop asking for permission and just start.
And we couldn’t think of a better mindset to bring to Sorrento. 🍋

Patrick will join us not only as one of our Featured Artists, but also as a Judge helping us select the artists who will become part of La Digital Dolce Vita.
