**“Respiro”** take a deep breath and admire the exquisite craftsmanship and detail of this new violin.
Our most recent rendition of our beloved *Guadagnini* model, this instrument combines the reliability and power of a new instrument with the worn, warm aesthetic of a historic violin.

Its voice is broad and deep, and it has amazed us ever since we finished it a few weeks ago.
Alas, its journey has only just begun,  it is now off to Japan, where we hope it will find its perfect partner for the next chapter of its story. 🎻

The Rinascita violin marks a defining milestone in Pietro Iotti's career: a synthesis of tradition, experience and individuality. Every curve, edge, and contour reflects years of study distilled into a language entirely his own.

🌿 Crafted from well-seasoned Alpine spruce and deeply flamed Balkan maple, Rinascita embodies quiet nobility, elegance, and harmonious proportion.
Layer by layer the oil varnish in deep carmine and burnt umber was brushed and polished, settling into the wood’s pores and awakening a warm inner glow that shifts under changing light.

🎶 Acoustically, the violin projects a voice that is both inviting and assertive. Its core timbre is warm and even across the registers, yet it reveals a surprising reserve of power that blossoms under a strong bow, offering soloists the headroom they need while preserving the blend and nuance essential for orchestral playing.

This model stands as a foundation stone — a living expression of a vision that will continue to evolve, shaping the unmistakable identity of Pietro Iotti’s craftsmanship. 💫

The hidden secrets of the Bass Bar. 🎻

Did you know that the pressure put upon the bridge but the tension of the things amounts to about 40 kg on the violin?

Then what about the cello??

How come it doesn’t collapse in on itself?

The answer is the bass bar. 🌟

👉🏼 Structural Support: The bass bar supports the instrument's top, bearing the immense pressure of the strings while preserving its arching and stability over time.

👉🏼 Sound Shaping: Meticulously handcrafted and positioned sometimes with a slight tension, it ensures every note rings with clarity and depth. A well placed bass bar ensures the vibrations are distributed out into the entire harmonic box.

👉🏼 Craftsmanship at its Finest: At our workshop, we select aged, split wood—if possible taken from the top plate—to preserve the harmony of materials. Each bass bar is fitted precisely to the inside of the violin to ensure exactly the counter pressure we want.

From careful selection to the final placement this unassuming strip of wood plays a pivotal role in the acoustic engineering of the instrument.

The basis for any good instrument lies in the quality of the raw materials 🌲

Crafting exceptional instruments begins with sourcing quality wood. At our workshop, we honor centuries of tradition by selecting resonance spruce from the Paneveggio Forest, also known as the "Forest of Violins."

Nestled in Trentino, this forest produces wood celebrated since the 15th century for its unparalleled acoustic qualities.

During the December new moon, master woodsmen carefully harvest these rare trees, following the Lunar Forestry Calendar.

Why Paneveggio spruce?
🌟 First and foremost you need wood that grows in a special microclimate ensuring even and narrow summer and winter grains.
🌟 The wood is cleaved along the fiber, making sure the cut follows the natural grain and minimises unwanted tensions.
🌟Here in Paneveggio the wood begins it’s seasoning process under cold climate to avoid any major temperature and humidity changes for the first months after harvesting, then after careful splitting and selection the pieces can slowly be moved and acclimated to other climates.
