🌍 World Refugee Day - June 20, 2026
On this occasion, Européens Sans Frontières and Cartooning for Peace, in partnership with Ass.cult.Affabulazione , are joining forces for CARICARTOONS 2026, a campaign that transforms press cartoons into animated films to raise awareness through art, images and public dialogue.
🔊 To mark June 20, this campaign highlights two press cartoons by Boligán (Mexico) and فهد فهد (Syria), members of , addressing the realities faced by refugees and displaced people: exile, borders, solidarity, human dignity and the right to protection.
🕊️ Drawing for refugees means reminding us that behind every journey, there is a story, a life and a fundamental right to safety.
An awareness workshop was organised with young people in partnership with Affabulazione, opening up dialogue around migration, exile and the protection of refugees. Through press cartoons, humour and satire, CARICARTOONS creates a space to better understand today’s humanitarian and democratic challenges.

Ass.cult.Affabulazione is an Italian cultural association committed to social, artistic and educational projects. Through participatory activities with young people and local communities, the organisation uses culture as a tool for dialogue, inclusion and civic engagement.
